I am a novice chef and I am deeply annoyed that a good portion of the food and drink i make only gives me general crafting EXP. When you train chef all food and drink from novice chef and DA 1-4 should be giving food crafting exp.

The amount of exp you get at novice is also disturbing. 70 is the maximum you can get for a single item.

Also a note to my fellow chefs. Seek out a bio engineer they can make bio formulas which can be used as a component for your foods.

I am a novice chef as well. Can you elaborate on what foods use bio formulas?

And yes, I agree on the GCXP for foods. 32K xp per first rung skill on thechef tree! Insane!

I believe you can get UXP if people eat your foods as well. Not sure about this, but I know crafters get UXP if people use thier weapons/buildings/armor.

its depressing ..

I can't even give the foods away either..

im making that wizle bread or what ever it is .. but I have to say its really really costly..

im at 8000/32000 into novice chef so far.

The main problem is I "have" to farm for Cereals to make that bread , so I have to start a power generator and harvester..

Well 1 harvester will get me about 2000 rice in a 90% richness area every 24 hours.

I burn thru 2k making that bread in about 1 hour using 3 cooking crafting tools.

well that already going to cost me almost 2000c in mataince fees.

Unlike other Crafters (where chef hurts bigtime right now) I can't sell my crafted items to cover my mataince fee's..

So I must stop and run Destroy missions.

So now , I have no spare time to Harvest my Fruits ..

because ill be busy doing destroy missions.

So I have to get anouther Harvester and power generator .. and make a berry/fruit/flower farm.

thats now over 4000c in mataince so I have to go do even more destroy missions . .

SO now i have to run more and more destroy missions just to keep up lossing the time I could be crafting.

Chef ends up chassing his own tail .. taking him twice as long to progress as compared to a diferent crafter who can fuund themself with just crafting..

I hope by level 2 in Mix/Desert/cooking I will have at least 1 food item I can sell.. otherwise ill be stuck in the same situation all over again.

The first tier bio engineer component you use to make soypro is called micro nutrient supplement. Soypro is then a component of meat lump. The entire line of tissue engineering (i think thats the bio eng skill) has stuff you can use in chef recipies. So contact a bio engineer becasue they are making their stuff and destroying it. I have had a lot of success making and selling my items. People in game just dont understand that the chef is the buffing class and that buffs in this game allow you to do things with better power and efficiency. The foods also erase stat defficiencies. You really have to sell your stuff to people and it isnt easy.

I have a factory now and i am able to gain chef exp very quickly but maintaining the factory is almost impossible. I cant make enough credits to cover it and my harvesters. I am trying to find a chef to work with on my server Chilastra. If any of you chefs want to share my harvesters and factory please contact me.
