Im currently on Enree's I, and grinding on stewed gwouch, as this seems the best XP and easiest to make.
I have almost got Entrees II but not sure if I should go this route ?

The Entree's II, Desserts I ands Mixology I don't appear to offer any better XP, yet require a more diverse set of resources.

Anyone have any tips, or is it gwouch all the way ?

I too make stewed gwouches to skill up on as it gives 100 per item made. I only have entry I though so I don't know what the other level 1 skills have to offer.

Just getting to novice chef is all about UXP. So, you really don't need to make food or clothes to make domestic arts. I would suggest wooden staffs. You only need ONE ingredient. I was able to easily gather 12k of wood over the weekend through macro sampling. Easily enough to get your novice chef.

I am going with Mineral Survey Tools.

Currently, I am 10% of the way into leveling for Novice Chef, and need only one kind of metal.

As it happens, I have about 3K of Carbonate Ore, and about 5.5K of Trib-o-something Steel.

The overall quality of the resources has a direct effect on the gcXP, I am averaging 55 gcXP on my Mineral Survey Tools.

Using the resources I have, my goal is then based on 19.2K gcXP:

From just completing Domestic Arts IV, I will need to make 350 MS tools (350 * 55gcXP =19,250gcXP) which uses 19 parts metal to 8 parts carbonate ore.

My total ore cost to level is 2,800 and my metal cost is 6,650... although that figure may be lessened as I am currently 2,150gcXP into the skill box now.

I am interested in finding the best drink to craft, that is a one or two component drink with a reasonable amount of fcXP to grind out - while providing an adequate mind pool buff.

The medic and entertainer fields can readily repair damage, but that leaves us to extend the pools through the foods that add the best modifiers, especially to the mind pools as PvPers are likely to make good use of mind pool damage as the typically weaker stat as compared to the generally non combatant crafters.

Hey Seeker, if you're looking for a good drink to skill up on... definately Ruby Bleils. They require 3 components though, but all easy: metal, cereal and water (10/15/10). They give me 70exp per make, and are a mind buffer drink, giving something like 30 to 40mind pool. Hope that helps.

Love how this thread started about how to level as a Chef and turned into how to level as an Artisan

I was just wondering the same. Good to know gwouch gives 100 as I was wondering which branch to go up first (I took Cooking 1 first as I hated the failures I got when trying to experiment on actual Chef food) and I'm sick to death of baking wastril bread
