Thread: Your perception of UXP

Do any of you see UXP working? Do you think it is high enough?

Personally I see only 1 or 2 points per item. Is it borked?

What should it be again? Like 150% of what crafting experience was?

It's 50% of what the item was. So if someone eats your Wastril Bread, you should get an extra 35xp. I tested last night on Talus/Starsider, and it worked as it should.

Wastril Bread + Charde = 100xp.

Hand to friend, wait for him to consume both = +50xp

However, I'm hearing a lot of people saying it's not working for them, maybe some schematics are hoarked, or Domestic Arts level items aren't working properly.

Do you get more or less UXP with creatures eating it? One night I tested it with some K-18 rations (trying to get to Chef, but its taking a while). Anyways, my friend bought a lot of food from me for his pet, and he told me that he was feeding it to it. I didn't see any XP increase... I know I am getting some XP from people eating my foods, as I have logged in some times to see an extra 40xp on my totals, so something is working, but maybe not correctly...

I have only been getting 1 or 2 points of UXP at a time.

The first week of the game I would remember getting about 3 in user XP. This is WAY too low. Just yesterday I wanted to see if feeding someone's pet gave user XP and it didn't. Then the pet's owner ate something and there was no user XP either.

Something is messed up.

I think they must eat the entire stack of food before you get exp.

that means if you want exp you want low quantity

I have yet to see a single point of UXP in Food crafting for the food I have made. Food that is under the DA tree gives UXP to General Crafting, but there is no UXP showing up for Food Crafting. The whole chef profession is messed up and at this rate, there won't be a master chef until the 3rd or 4th expansion.

After doing some more testing you only get UXP when the whole stack has been used up. It doesn't seem to matter how big the stack is though. If an item will give 50 UXP you will get 50 UXP no matter the size of the stack. Which is kinda wierd since you should get more UXP for a larger stack.

You are SUPPOSED to get up to 150% UXP on the line of points used to create the item.

A Bioengineer friend makes me additives. He gets 100xp making them.
I use them in Soypro, HE gets 150XP. I get 10. I add the sotpro into meatlumps, I make 30 xp. I give the meatlumps to someone to eat, I get 0 xp.

SOME items give very small UXP on General Craft lines, not all.
We should get 150%UXP on food crafting, not 10% on general.

Please do what I do & post every single day on the main forums, and I also /bug EVERY time someone eats something and I do not get food craft XP

You only get UXP from the last piece of food/drink in the stack.

I'm not sure HOW it works, but I do know that it does NOT work well at all.

I sold 20 items on the bazaar in one night (incredible, I know...finally got some super high quality resources). Anyway, I noticed that my exp had only risen buy about 150. These are 20 high quality items, all bought and presumably used, and yet the increase of Usage Exp is pathetic. You're better off grinding.

However, I do always receive SOME Usage Exp...but it like builds up slowly. Even if somebody immediately consumes food or puts on clothing, it doesn't rise immediately, but when you log on a few hours later, sure enough, it has SLIGHTLY risen.
