Thread: chef developer: myth or fact???
This is hilarious in a sad way.
Maybe they cloned him, and so there are actually 7 or more of him sitting at a bank of computers.
Given the number of people playing this game, I'm thinking it's time they got a few more devs in to assist GreenMarine. Having one dev per profession while the game is still getting worked on is probably a very sound idea. They can all have weekly profession meetings to discuss what the correspondents bring up and actually REPRESENT us without being too, too overwhelmed. A year from now, after things have been fully stabilized and the only times we experience days like we did during this last patch are during expansions (like you get in EQ expansion day patches), they can consider standing pat with the number of devs while expanding the number of classes (should they desire to).
In the meantime, my chef is probably going to end up going on standby while I explore a combat class. We'll see how sales go, though. I had a HUGE influx in sales right after this patch, which tells memany people were holding off on food because of the stack bug. During the stack bug, I was running surveying missions to stay afloat. (Thank goodness I finally made Pistols 4 so that it didn't take TONS of missions. I now also have a nice cache of basic resources to work with, but that wasn't really my goal these past few weeks.)
I leave you with this idea:
Can't Creature Handlers and Bio-Engineers work together to allow us chefs and any other artisans (like tailors, who need hide)a chance to have FARMS? I'd buy a few domestic eopie and banthasand whatnot to get the meat I need and have it work rather like, well, harvestors do. That way I can get wooley hide and herbivore meat when I need it. Oh, and eggs and MILK. Pretty please! But first, fix the buff bug! That is the #1 fix you need to make, IMO.

Wow, that's an incredible post. I now have this picture of a guy chained to a wall in militia gear, and for every bug fix he getsa peanut butter cracker. Some good programmer they found at the local community college, and they are now imprisoning him while paying 5.50 an hour for his work.
Maybe it's time they hired some more programmers...
