I know this goes in the artisan forum, but I know you guys are more up to snuff on this stuff. As a Master Artisan (Architect and DE on my second char, so interdependence is not so much of an issue, but a way of life for me) I wasn't expecting much from the revamp, except for the fact that i would get food that would actually benifit another crafter. I was exceedingly suprised to find a lot of improvements in the domestic arts line of foods. There are actual low end sellers here! Ruby Bliel, Aitha, and Spiced Tea not the least. For somebody who targets those who can't pay 50+ a crate these foods are a huge bonus.

I've gotten the Spiced Tea buff up to a nice round 50 and the filling down to only 7, which allows a constant mind buff of at least 600 as long as you keep chugging!

Now to you uber masta chefs out there I know thats not much - but to my low lvl friends who are just now taking on Bols with mabari armor - this stuff rocks! heck, they are even requesting it over muon gold - no downtime and a up time only limited by the amount they have on them (they are wearing mabari with low encum, they don't care about secondaries right now very much). Before this revamp as an artisan I really had nothing to offer them, now I do. So what if they can't solo Kryats at pistols 2, these drinks let them have more fun, and are affordable and lvl balanced.

Thats the great thing about this revamp for artisans/chef balance, the chefs get the uber buffs that can cost the uber cash and benifit the uber combat monkeys, and artisans get the low end buffs that stack right for combat characters at the approx. same lvl. Its win/win for both. Except smugglers, too bad my main is selling resources now instead of spice, i can't get rid of my muon for 5k a crate of 25!

I was rather impressed with the artisan foods myself. I really think all those people complaining about the disappearance of Angerian should just get a crate of 7 Filling, +50 Mind Spice tea. They'll get their Mind boost (14 * 50 = +700) , only have to remember to re-apply it every40 minutes (instead of every 10-12), and since Tea only needs 17 resources for a stack of 3-4(10 of which is the container), it'll probably be cheaper even counting the fact that they're drinking4 times as much (14 teas per 40m vs.4 Fishak per 40m).

Yeah I am definately impressed so far. The hardest part for me making allowances for creating containers in my factory times. (and no I still don't understand why a cask has trim on it!) lol

Got Eng II and Eng III simply based on making food for people ... too much is in the artisan line if you ask me.

Yeah, I've already found that my best seller is going to be this tweaked Spiced tea. I dropped a full load into my system as soon as the first crate came out of the factory, every time my drink bar went down a little i dropped another swig, pretty soon I was up to a 1227pt mind buff for 10 minutes, after that it dropped to 550, but never below that as long as I had drink in my inventory and it was usually around 620 except for the rush peaks. So long story short...Fac runs tommorow because the demand has already hit and I was out of my full fac run in about two hours

I agree with what someone said up there...that there is almost too much in the dom arts line. I'm a 2/3/3/4 chef and the most useful foods that are easy to mass produce are foods from the domestic arts line.

I wish it was the other way around so I could drop the engineering tree.

naa,

there are lots of usefull foods early in the chef tree. Bleed resist, mind heals, creature harvesting, dizzy reisist just to name a few.

But i would like to say the artisan foods are very nice, i made some travel biscuts, crispic, cap, and exo-protien.

Ive been a master artisan for a long long time, and i started wearing my title back in october cuase millions of tells for armor got to be a bit much. I was probly the only one on the server that did.. well till vehicels came out then everyone and there brother was one. But i must say its soo nice that master artisans now have something that people acually want to buy besides power ups, and voritor+kimogillabone armor.

Now im trying to make a deal with some bio's and see what bio enhance artisan food will be like : )

Exo-Protein Wafers are the best IMO.....if you get some BE help you can do +25% Damage Reduction for 15 Hits with 5 Filling.......thats 300 Hits with 25% Reduced Damage over however long of a preiod you need...and if you consider how long 300 Hits is you coudl eat these for an hour or better in some situations

I was makin +14% Damage REduction without the Bio stuff....still great stuff I Think

Does food that is over the next x hits actually stack? If I take 2 is if over the next 2x hits or do the hits have to apply and then I take another?

Only the stat buff foods stack, all the rest you can only have one active at a time. So you could eat two +50 Health Bofa treats and get +100 Health, but you can't take two +10 Terrain Negotiation travel biscuits to get +20, or two protein wafers and get 2x the hits (or 2x the dmg reduction). If you try to take a second skill buffs, the game tells you "you are already under the effect of this food", and doesn't use up a dose. You can eat one as soon as the previous has been used up, though.
