Did something change in the past few months that reworked the way all the nutrition bonuses were calculated? I was reading about all of these people with canapes that lasted 10 minutes and up, and I'm totally puzzled. The resources I'm using now are pretty darn nice, but the highest I see anyone get without putting points into duration is 9m 44s, server-wide. Maybe just the slight difference in resource quality is the difference, but I would imagine those would have to be close to perfect on OQ, PE, DR *and* FL, since everything I'm using is just about 900's across the board.
The old standard when I first started playing was around 7m for canapes, so we've seen some nice shifts in resources to get the extra 2m 44s...but yeesh...having 10 minutes be on the low side is only a dream for me atm.

my canape is 9:20 without experimenting, and using berries with a fla of under 300.
Finished product is like...

It's not really that hard to get canape above ten minutes (it's possible to get it as high as 15m). The difficult trick is to get it above 10m and below 33 filling.
The chefs in those older threads were probably leaving the filling at it's initial value (usually 36-39) and focusing experimentation points on nutrition and flavor. 33 filling canape wasn't always the "standard", you'll probably find a few threads debating whether 33 filling or increased nutrition/duration are more important.
