sometime ago there was a post about bivoli (yes i am aware there have been many)...but this one discussed how.....it was better to hit 3 uses/food item and go for a lower buff.....than go for the ALMIGHTY +25 buff and go with 2 uses instead....at that time i felt that hitting +25 was more important and leaving it with only 2 uses, can't seem to get the 3 uses and the +25
.......( i am also master doc see on my alt that is) and this lil tool i found on the docs forums kinds proves my point..........
http://www.houseofskills.com/buff_estimate.php (sorry dont know how to make sticky lol)
Anyhow...yes the buff differences is only slight....but i would rather be the doc shouting that i have the higher buff...than have three uses per bivoli ......
anyhow.....just thought it was interesting.......

Slight as in 10 points, vs being able to buff for 14-15 extra minutes. A 4 point difference on your buff packs will make a bigger difference than 1 point on bivoli. If one doc is buffing for 2500 and another one next to him is buffing for 2490 the people will go to the doc with the shortest line. If the doc using the 24/3 bivoli is able to charge less for his buffs because of that then more people will go to the cheaper one.

I tend to experiment with each new batch. If I can hit 25, I go for that. If not.. it doesn't really matter if it's 24.01 or 24.99 so I save any points after 24 and get the extra charge. Mind you, so far, when I've hit 25, I've also got that charge in, but I certainly do still try and hit 25 too.

+25, 3 uses, 16min is roughly what I get dependent on the meat/bio component.
However, I doubt that you'll be able to hit the +25, 3 uses with only the 10 points. Your best bet is to go for the +24, 3 uses. That's just my opinion from both a Doctor, and a Chef perspective. People think the difference in the 2 is huge. Just explain it's only a 3 point buff difference (if I remember right).

Yes, you need at least 11 points to hit 25/3 i think, unless you have awesome resources.
I usually need 8 points to hit 25, then 3 points to hit 3 charges.
thats assuming i get amazing successes, at least for the nutrition line, sometimes great success is enough to reach 3 charges (think you have to get over 40%).
At least that's already 11 points used, and the last i give in duration, usually around 15 mins then.
When I was a 10 point chef, i did two versions. 25/2 and 23/3, priced them at the same price, and let the buyer choose what he liked more.
Can't remember anymore what sold better though.

I noticed when crafting Bolivia at 23% and 3 uses, that it has almostthe same effect that 25% 3 uses bolivia has. Itis only about a 25 point diff .( Example: buffing at 2200 to 2225 . ) I am MD and tested both kinds out and there is only a small diff not worth worrying about getting that high really? I guess people just like to see the number higher.

Yes people like the higher numbers
Perhaps for PvP a +25 is a must, but for starport buffers the 23/3 version is a lot cheaper. If you can get your hands on 25/3 thats of course good as well

I don't think thats worth it usually, at least not if you plan to buff for a while.
Filling usually isn't an issue, its below 30% and thereby gone in less than 15 minutes (33% take exactly 15 mins), and 15 mins seems to be at the lower end of the duration.
Now with one 3 uses Bivoli you can buff 45 minutes then you need your next.
To get the same result with your 2 uses Bivoli you'd need to hit 22.5 minutes, which are 7.5 more, or 50% more. I doubt that you can reach that and +25.
I usually have 1 point left after reaching 25/3 (using 8 on nutrition, 3 on quantity), and it boosts my duration for around 1 minute (usually from 14 to around 15).
So assume you got it somewhere close to 20 minutes (even though 18-19 would be more realistical perhaps, but may depend on resources too), that be 40 minutes for the whole bivoli. So basicly in a crate of 25 you got 125 minutes less (5 mins*25)
Only situation where it would make sense is when you buff between 15 and 20 minutes. with the 15 min bivoli you'd have to use 2 doses, and "waste" 10 minutes, only 15 remain in the bivoli for another time.
With the 20 mins one you'd have 20 left.
But I doubt its worth it in the long run.
And it might actually be more likely that you eat a bivoli buff 3 or 4 people in 5 minutes then stop buffing (if you buff a hunting group of friends or so). Leaving you with 30 minutes left on the 3 uses bivoli vs. only 20 mins on the 2 uses.
If you should be able to reach more than +7.5 minutes instead of 1 use more, then good, but as i said I doubt it.
