I just wondered, did they do away with expermintation on foods now? I went to make up some stuff last night and I couldn't experiment with it. So what's the story on this? Anyone?

I hope these don't come out as insulting, but I try to cover all the bases (everyone makes stupid mistakes once in a while).

  1. Are you near a crafting station? Also, sometimes if multiple stations are in close proximity, you can be inside the "radius" of one that you don't really want, which cancels out the food/chem crafting station.

  2. Are you using a droid with a crafting module? There's a current known issue where callling a droid inside of a building disables the storage modules, crafting modules may have the same issue.

  3. Are you using a Food/chem tool (generic tools don't allow experimentation).

  4. Are you crafting a subcomponent (these don't need experimentation).

Unless you're doing something radically different, I've got a hunch #2 is the issue. I know I seriouslyfreaked out when I tried to access my droid's storage module (which had my 12 point crafting suit inside it) and there was no "access storage module" option.

Nope don't find it insulting at all..always best to ask the easy questions first and get them out of the way...and now for the answers to your questions:

1. Yes, I have one installed inside my house and has been there since before the CU. I do have a Clothes/Armor one in my backpack..but had taken the backpack off in my second house so shouldn't have had anything to do with that.

2. I have a droid with one, but I don't use him inside the house.

3. Yes

4. I was crafting Arisha.

I tried 3 times last night to get it to experiment with Arisha. I will try again today with other items. So hopefully it was just a fluke.

The CU upgrade might have done something funky with your crafting station. Try pulling it and replacing it in your house..

I do believe your correct on this one. I went and tried experminating at another persons crafting station and it worked like a charm. Going to send a bug in on this one because I tried everything from picking it up and replacing to replacing in another persons house to see if it would work there. Nada on everything tried. Oh well, if worst comes to worst I just go buy another one. It's only a game..and credits are still not that hard to come by if you know what you are doing.
