Sorry to repeat a question that may have been answered earlier (havent found answer yet)

I had a CSR assist me last evening with trying to get my food factory working.......we replaced deeds and moved it all over the map to make sure it was not an area problem.....no avail.

Had other craftsmen/women place it and still the following bug exists.

NO SCHEMATIC SLOT option.

Anyone know why or have the same problem?

Thanks

you sure you have a manufacturing schematic NOT a draft schematic? one you make near crafting station which is an option right above experiment?

I experienced the same problem while setting up my first food factory. I am hoping your problem is similar so you can solve this easily.

The Schematic Slot option does not become available until you have a food manufacturing schematic in your data pad. Once you have created a food manufacturing schematic (requires the use of a Food and Crafting Station as mentioned above in a previous post), go back to your food factory and the Schematic Slot option should now be displayed in the radial menu.

Hope this helped...

To use a factory:

1. Go to a crafting station, and use your food & chemical crafting tool. Create your item, experiment, and when you would normal select create prototype, select create manufacturing schematic instead. 100 copies is a good default, but you can adjust. The schematic should now be in your datapad (right next to your waypoints and droids).

2. Since as of yet you can't examine a crate to see the qualities of what's in it, you might want to label your schematic with the property of the item. For example "Wastril Bread 70 stamina/150 seconds." Of course, when you unpack your food will have this name too.

3. Go to your factory and select a draft schematic. Choose your schematic from thelist. The suggestion was the menu option wasn't appearing because you hadn't done step 1.

4. Tell the factory to list the necessary ingredients and open the ingredient hopper. Make sure you put in exactly the ingredients that are listed, multipled by the number of copies you are making. Ifyou are adding crates, make sure the crates have the exact serial number listed in the ingredient list.If you put in less than that, the factory will simply shut down when it runs out.

5. Make sure you have paid up yourmaintenance and that the factory has power, then tell it to start manufacturing items.

6. You should get an email when the factory is done, or if there's a problem.

Known issues:

- Your food items will make just one serving per recipe, even if making the same item by hand would give you 10.

- You can't stack the food coming out of a factory, even though they are identical. You can keep them in crates to save space, but be aware that a crate takes I think 5 inventory spaces.

- Getting the factory to pull from crates is rather awkward and often doesn't work. Workarounds are to manually unpack the crates into the ingredient hopper or to make sure you have more than one crate of each ingredient.

- You will not get UXP for items created in a factory, and will only get 1/10 the experience as hand crafted (and then only if you are in the same zone as the factory).
