Thread: Re-naming foods/drinks for fun and laughs
About halfof the following ideas are actually from a real star wars cookbook a friend of mine owns.
Jawa on a Stick
Jabba Jiggle Jello
Greedo's Burritos
Han Burgers
Boba Fett-ucine
Deathstar Popcorn Balls
Obiwan Kenolis
Dark Side Salsa
Yoda Soda
Skywalker Smoothie
Hoth Chocolate
Oola-La French Toast (the twi'leki dancer in Jabba's Palace)
Rocky Rodian Ice Cream
Wookie Cookies
Jedi Mind Bender (drink)
Jawa Jumbalaya
Ewok Surprise
Krayt Kabobs
Bothan Biscuits
Rancor Jerky
Gungan Gumbo
Mynock Munchies
Dewback Dumplings
and my all time favorite... Tusken Raider Taters
One drink deserves special mention. I've only made arelative handfulof them. A couple I put on the bazaar. They sold instantly at 100cr the first day or so the server went live when everyone was dirt poor. The next couple I put up for 7day auction and both went for over 1000cr each. I currently keep 1 or 2 on a vendor in my house/shop at 100cr just for fun. What is it?It's named Potion of Jedi Slot Unlocking. Who can resist buying it and consuming it on the spot? Heck, the first one I ever made didn't last 30 seconds as even I couldn't resist drinking it. ![]()
Ah well, now I'm a master architect (still got 2 boxes into Chef, the wastril/stewed grouch grind just killed me) and making furniture just isn't as fun though the Wookie Nookie Loveseat does get a few chuckles... ![]()
I gave that cookbook to a friend of mine about ten years ago =)
- Manii Names
I find that renaming my food to sound cooler or to give its purpose helps my sales a lot. Some examples:
Teltier Noodles -> Grey Matter
Starshine Surprises -> Carbineer's Delight
Meatlump -> Badland Sausages
Charde -> Badland Raindrops
Exo-protein Wafers -> Pet Chow (Ja'Pet Growth Formula)
I maintain quality standards in what I sell - each of the items has to meet certain minimum requirements for stack size and output. Sometimes people get a little extra on the top, but nobody ever gets shafted by purchasing a way-inferior item.
I look at it as a brand name, and people want to buy stuff that's reliable. Renaming the items adds a distinctive touch and increases the value of the finished product substantially. The other day I had to snicker in the marketplace when someone disappointed that there was no stock of my Pet Chow brand available to make their pets grow fast - it means that the brand name is getting through.
My next step, I think, will be to start selling some of the items that sell well on the bazaar through distributors. There are a lot of weapons shops and other spots that could probably sell 100 of any of my product over the course of a day to the people passing through...
wow sounds like your a popular guy...
im going to master chef and take another one or two profs...
i like the bioengeneer idea of being able to create the perfect animals and growing them... can bioengeneers also use pets or can only CH do that?
Classic!
If anyone wanted to buy it, the name of the cookbook is:"The Star Wars Cookbook: Wookiee Cookies and other Galactic Recipes"
I use them too, seeing as how I'm a wookiee, NAMED Cookie -)

Grrrr...I love the Hitchhiker series as much as anyone else, but please, stop bringing it into the Star Wars universe. I have already seen Arthur Dent and Trillian :-( I really hope they get their names yanked along with every other lame-o that has to bring in a name from another sci-fi series.
Just a pet peeve from a RPer.
Mighty Meatlump, Brain Blaster, Jungle Juice, Brisk Brew, Moonlight Mist, Hot Tottie, Think Drink, Soothing Charde, Jawa Juice, Tatooine Tonic, Wicked Wine, etc...
