70XP per Wastril Bread and I need 32200 for Mixology I?....*cries softly to himself*...I've been grinding the last hour and have 2 ticks into the XP bar to show for it...and I'm using 3 food and chemical crafting tools. Is there a faster way?

lol i know what you are going through i got novice chef a couple days ago and it really sucked to go from grinding 90xp on undershirts to only 70 on watril bread :/

i decided i had to take a break from grinding. I made novice chef in one night (the whole box, in 4 hours or so) you just need to get yourself into a half concious state and get a TON of resources and just start clicking. or you can work on another prof. and do like an hour of grinding a day or something.

Well, I'm Master Artisan also, so I could take up a more...profitable endeavor, like Architect or Weaponsmith. I don't know, lol...

the only way to get up is to grind

right now im also working on pistoleer, grindin only takes about one hour each day of my time, i get about 40k xp every day from ith mists.

Make a macro!

my macros cut my time to craft in half. I need 5 crafting tools to be able to do it non-stop and it takes 35 seconds to produce each Wastril bread, which means 1 wastril bread about every8 seconds.

70xp times 7(# I can do in a minute) =490xp per minute.

490 x 60(crafting non-stop for 1 hour is the most I can stand without going crazy) = ~30k xp

one hour to your first tier skills

1.3 hours to each 2nd tier

1.7 hours to each 3rd tier

2 hours to each 4th tier.

1x4=4

1.3x4=5.2

1.7x4=6.8

2x4=8

4+5.2+6.8+8=24 hours to master(assuming you have the apprentice xp)

And that was with cautious stats...if you really focused, you could cut it down to 20 hours.

So, technically, you could do it in a day...but realistically, 1 month of one hour sessions will do it, or an intense week....

now, the first thing is getting the 400k cereal and 150k fruit you'll need. That's the part that's killing me.

How do you macro grinding?? I can write a Perl Program to do it... but I am too lazy... Well not really lazy but not motivated yet... Teach us Obi Wan...

Here's the setup:

1. Pull your toolbar down so that you have 2 rows for a total of 24 slots. They are numbered 0-23.
2. Put a food/chem crafting tool in the bottom right slot of all 6 toolbars (slot 23). You change toolbars with Ctrl-~, btw.
3. Make a macro that says the following:

/ui action toolbarPaneNext; /ui action toolbarSlot23; /selectDraftSchematic 1

substituting your schematic number for the 1. This macro will advance to the next toolbar, select your crafting tool, then select the item you want to grind. Experiment to find the right schematic number; the schematic numbers will change if you are near a food/chem crafting station since you can craft more items there, so if you're grinding stay away from a crafting station.

4. Put this macro in slot 11 (F12) of all 6 toolbars.

Then it's just F12, pick ingredients, enter, enter, enter. F12, pick ingredients, enter, enter, enter. Make sure you pick practice on the first one, and you're off to the races...

imo, the best way to get higher up is to sell/give away food. Make about 2/3rds of the way then sell your wares, should push you up the rest of the way if they eat it.

And it's fun to try to get people to eat it.
