My friend and I are having a little dispute. He claims that simply *filling* up on food or drink somehow boosts your strengtha and abilities, even if the things you consume haveNO attribute modifiers (i.e the cheap drinks that npcs sell in various cantinas). I thought that the only type of boosts you got come from the food/drink themselves (the ones that DO have skill mods) and not just the action of filling up until you almost burst. His defense is this: if the cheapie drinks that are sold by npcs don't do anything, what's the point of buying or consuming them?

Can anyone clear this up for us??

You are correct Myzia. The cheap drinks at the cantina are for roleplay purposes.

Only stat buff food gives you any benifit other than fun.

Yup, only PC made drinks/foods give buffs.

The ones in cantinas are for RP purposes only, otherwise... we'd really be out of business.
