Thread: Sirvimes, are the devs providing any feedback?
Most of us are still cheffing on the HOPE that we might get fixed, but we get no feedback whatsoever, so it's hard not to feel like we're being strung along for our money. For me, there is no compelling reason to keep paying the monthly fees if we're just gonna be treated like dirt /shrug
If they can't even acknowledge you/us after a couple of weeks I think that'd be a good reason to throw in the towel.
This wasn't written as well as it could be, but I think you'll get the point
I am talking with the developers right now...and I am unsure how much I can say at this point. ![]()
Will tell you this: There is deffinitely hope that things will get fixed. While they have not used the word balanced, they do think the profession needs work. As for when...we may have to be patient. I am sorry. They do have a rough idea of when they can work on changes, but it is very rough and they don't really want to say because it might change and changes in schedule upset people.
However, there is hope and if something isn't done before too long, I will probably be joining you in quitting.
Thanks for the question Oddler, and for the response SirVimes. Im sure we all understand about the non disclosure thing you are held to for access to that forum.
Do you know if they are aware of the Food stack bug and how devistating it is to us? The profession changes i can wait on (not for months mind you) but this thing has got to go! Im sure you've been pressing it. Any bone you can throw us in a general non-commital wishy washy answer sort of way?
4 weeks without fixing a bug that eliminates an entire profession is outrageous.

This scares me when the Chef Correspondent says that the Developers are hoping that a profession-ruining bug will be fixed. I don't care about balancing things at the moment.I just want the stack bug fixed so I can get back to making and selling food again.

When I said there is hope, I was talking about the balance issues and improving the profession in general.
The stacking bug is being actively worked on.

That's all I wanted to hear.
Thanks SV.
I dont envy SirVimes being in this position as a go-between :/
I find it totally disgusting that they will hotfix combat professions ASAP, but crafters get shafted at every step.
Do they even know what caused this crippling bug?
The way they do their updates sounds very unprofessional. If you're dealing with a lot of users you make a backup of original databases before you overwrite with code you haven't tested completely. If they had a backup they could have reverted us back to when we COULD always use our stacks.
Either way, thanks for keeping us up-to-date with what you can tell us.
in my experience the food stack bug has been around since day one, it was just rarer. im confident that chefs will get love but i doubt it will be anytime soon. in reality i expect the food bug to get fixed in a 4-6 weeks and the chef love patch for food desirability to come in 2-3 months. thats just a guess based on how fast they've fixed things in the past.
i too think its sad how combat classes gets so much attention every few weeks while the crafters who have a ton of big gaping bugs since day 1 are totally ignored.

That answers not good enough for me I want it fixed, its been 4 weeks. They need to work harder and faster.
lol, the sad thing is, most of the bugs they are working on are known since beta. 4 weeks? heh, try 4 months.
