You know, I stopped paying close attention to my sales since the stack bugs killed business. What I did to enjoy myself again was to pick up a 2nd account and play a swordsman. It's pretty cool to have an endless supply of foods to use out in the field. And after see what works and what doesn't work for me, I've been able to better structure what I make for sales. I now sell only items that I'd personally use in the field (or items that people are specifically ordering).

I know a 2nd account isn't an option for you all, but have those of you who are pure craftsman (like Eponi pretty much is) ever considered picking up a weapon and heading out in the field and taking out the fustration out on a mauler or two? I'd highly recommend it. You'd be able to see your foods in action first hand.

For those curious, my swordsman consumes the following foods:

Sunburns - oh my goodness. Pop on full composite, down a couple of these, and jump right into the middle of a melee and start doing area and spin attacks. Good fun. Last night I took on 8 plains hunters at once and was able to take them all down without grievious bodily harm. A few doctor stim B's helped to patch up damage taken.

Veghash - serves well with the sunburns. My regen rates were high enough that I could spam specials without any worries.

Aircakes - Often times whenI take off my armor to help regen pools, I have trouble getting the last piece back on due to wounds. Pop in one air cake and everything's all good.

Pet food - but of course. My kitty loves this stuff.

Ormacheks - almost interchangeable with veghash, but I use these when I wield my faster 2-handed curve sword. With the higher rate of special attacks, this helps keep mind pool expenditures to a minimum.

Durandfires - excellent for when I'm surveying. Toss one down the hatch, take a seat, wait a fewseconds and now I can spam survey to find a nice concentration. Rifleman swear by this one as well.

I've now structured my production to produce only the above unless otherwise requested - even if I go out of business, I know I'll be able to use these. All these foods have fairly quick digestion rates so I can usually eat when I need to and not worry about fulness. The guys I play the game with are also big fans of this stuff as well. So I'm not making much money on public sales these days, but I'm sure able to use this stuff to do destory missions to help with a secondary source of cash.

Good post, and an interesting perspective from someone with a good view of both sides of the food market.

Nice to hear, Eponi. Although I was expecting this post tobe similar to what's happening to my character: since the stack bug is still going on, he spends a lot of time drowning his sorrows in snifters of Correlian Brandy, shots of Ithorian Mist, and pints of Tat Sunburn.

Lol, I've thought about drowning my sorrows away, but that would simply be too costly. Us squids have naturally high tolerances to toxins and other junk that gets dumped into the oceans by the architects, weapon, and armorsmiths. I'd need burnout too really put me under and unfortunately I don't know that recipe yet.
