I am on the Ahzi server and there are no chefs there period. I have looked and asked but they must all be in hiding. So, I have a second account which I will use to make a chef. I hope to create nice goodies for my guildmates to use when they go out in the wild. However, I have read some things that tell me this profession doesnt seem to really work. The whole point is to make food and drink that buff ppl but that doesnt seem to work. No wonder I cant find any chefs, there probably arent any if the profession is so bugged. I hope I am wrong cause I just made it to domestics 3.

Thanks for listening

its not that our buffs don't work

they're just...flawed

one thing you might notice going from domestic arts foods to chef foods is how much you can eat of one thing before it makes you full

so you might be able 5 of a lesser buff from dom arts, and only 3 of a chef buff, which happens to almost be equal

as stated here many times before, my main problem is that the only things chefs do is buff, docs can heal and smugglers...smuggle? and do they're scoundrelous stuff. As the system is now, the profession designed to buff is the worst at it IMO. I just REALLY hope they don't nerf doc buffs or spice in the revamp.

just add a zero to every recipe and decrease the filling and i'll be happy

and gimme milk dernit

/rant off

have fun though

i really like this profession, its just could be so much better

i keep on thinking of them in terms of shaman from EQ. They were the Real buffers. Clerics and druids could buff a little too, but not like Shaman. So i guess thats where my expectations are. When everyone wants a chef in their group. Ooo, imagine foods that give haste lol

Just from reading the forums (the past week mind you) I have found4 chefs on ahazi besides myself. I am just a smidgeon off mix 2 so hopefully I'll be able to grind cooking and then start making food. Hell, there are even 2 chefs in our guild, one almost iron chef. Just search for the word chef in ahazi forum and ahazi in this forum, you will find out that chefs exist on ahazi very quickly.

All gone. Nothing to see now. Bye Bye Ahazi most of you guys were cool

That might be my problem, I was looking for master chefs for that "breath of Heaven" stuff. Well, I hope they resolve the issue with chefs someday. I am also pursuing dancing (ugh) and muscian. I hope to be a buffing machine for my PA. I will probably leave my account with the PA leader and some of the council who I trust and are on all the time so "my guy" will always be available. Of course I am on almost everyday for many hours so that might not be necessary. Anyway thanks.

Just one more ?

I notice you can take 3 foods like you said. Does that mean each stacks on each other or you can eat three different ones and they stack or what? Maybe eat two foods and a spice? Can someone explain, thanks

Yes. They stack period. So whatever you can shove in your stomach will stack. You can also stack them with doc buffs and spice.
