Thread: Questions on Food Additives

About all that is clear for me on these are that they can add substantially to various stats on our foods and the come in three flavors...light, medium, and heavy.

What I would like to know about them is how many in total there are. Is it just the three and we determine on what stat we use them? Or is there one for the 4 areas of experimentation with each having a light, medium, and a heavy? Thus a total of 12.

The other question is what is in the schematics for the additives? What are the experimental effectiveness percentageswithin each schematic?

My reasoning is that it may be beneficial for us to assist the BE in the aquisition of thebest resources as I have my doubts that theproduction of these additives will be a high BE priority. The old tissues called for ingredients such as milk, mollusk, seafood, meat, and flora. Using our proposed schematics as a base I think it could be assumed that BE ingredients will remain similiar to what they are now.

On at least 3 of the generic ingredients we have an over lap,so it would be helpful to know what it is the BE's requireIn order to keep a look-out for those that may be useful in the BE additive schematics.

Anybody know in what tree the food additives are in the BE skill tree? If for instance I wanted to train some of BE to make food additives I assume I'd want the experimentation tree and which other tree? Hopefully the heavy additives aren't in Master, but does anybody know?

Heavies -are- in master unless I am mistaken (not an authority on it)

I have a question though... at which points does experimentation and therefore quality of resources matter? Do you need good resources for the BE stuff, and then good water for the additive to experiment yet again?

The additive itself is not experimentable. All the experimentation is done on the tissue. So once you have the tissue, you can combine that with some crappy water and not have any change to its effect.

Flavor is how long it lasts?
Nutrition is how strong the products is?
Quantity of course is how much of it in a stack...
Filling of course is how much of the stomach it uses...

What one is mass and what one is replicating?
-------------------------------
The food for the pets... does it add to there stats or is it a heal?
-------------------------------
Well as most of you all know that there is a cap of +25 for everything. What if an entertainer has BE clothes for +25 wound healing and takes Carmelized Pkneb or Correlian Ale. Would it add the food stats or it wont count because the entertainer is at +25 already? Same with wound treatment BE clothes for a medic and they take Bivoli Tempari.

Bivoli Tempari Wound Treatment +7.5-11.8
Carmelized Pkneb wound healing (dancing) +7.5-12
Correlian Ale wound healing (music) +7.5-12

What if you had +25 in food experintation tapes... wIf you took some Bespin Port with +10 stats would you still get a +10 on top of the +25 or it wont work because of the +25 cap?

The Tree is the tissues tree

Flav Oq and PE matter for BE when crafting the additive thats it basically using 55 floral and 20 meat seeing that floral is easier to get

When making the additves after u get the tissues from the BE the water stats do not matter i dont know if this was intended or not but it does not matter right now

when crafting foods here is what matters and when using BE additives it basically dbls base if they are good

for Filling DR 75% OQ 25%

Flavor(Duration) Flavor 66% OQ 33%

Nutrition(power offood)OQ 33% PE 66%

Quantity DR 25% PE 75%

Hope this answer some of your questions

The stuff you were talking about had nothin to do with my questions....

Light
Carboreductive Catalyst - mass - 20 organic, 20 Domesitcated Meat, 20 Wild Meat
Hyper Yeast Additive - replicating - 20 Organic, 20 Cereal, 20 Wild Meat
Micronutrient Supplement - nutritional - 20 Organic, 15 Flora Food, 15 Creature Food
Multisaccharide Dimate - flavor - 20 Organic, 20 Milk, 25 Flora Food

Medium
Broad-Spectrum Nutrients - nutritional - 35 Organic, 25 Flora Food, 20 Creature Food
Caloric Conversion Supplement - mass - 35 Seeds, 30 Domesticated Meat, 35 Wild
Hyper Yeast Concentrate - replicating - 25 Organic, 20 Cereal, 20 Wild Meat
Multisaccharide Tetramate - flavor - 35 Seeds, 30 milk, 30 Flora Food

Heavy
Carbocaloric Eliminator - mass - 35 Fruit, 40 Domesticated Meat, 45 Wild Meat
Edible Nano Constructors - replicating - 25 Vegetables, 40 Cereal, 30 Wild Meat
Intelligent Nanonutrients - nutritional - 55 Organic, 35 Flora, 20 Creature
Multisaccharide Pentamate - flavor - 35 Berries, 40 Milk, 45 Flora Food

I am asking what does flavor do, what does nutrition do, what does quantity do, and what does filling do.

Is Flavorhow long it lasts?
Is Nutritionhow strong the products is?
Quantity of course is how much of it in a stack...right?
Filling of course is how much of the stomach it uses...right?

Now, in the aditivies above it has mass, replicating, nutritional, and flavor. Filling goes with mass? replicating goes with quantity? nutrition with nutritional and flavor with flavor.

I want to know if this information is correct which I been getting answers from other threads and I believe it is.

Food stats stack with any skilltape or clothing modifiers, so if u have a +25 experimentation modifier, that will become +35 when the food is eaten !

I asked this question here previously, and SirVimes answered that it was one of the first things he had asked the Dev'swhen he heard about the attribute modifiers in food. Food modifiers are allowed to stack with other buffs because they are classed as "temporaray buffs", whereas the clothing/tape modifiers are permanent (and therefore capped).

This info correct? Also, if you were to add BE additivies, what additives would you use?
