There is a chef apron for sale on the Wanderhome Trade Forums which is +5 to experimentation/+5 assembly for food items. From what I gathered this was made from either a looted or quest schematic. Anybody have any idea about where to get a schematic for one of these?

It's a reward from Jabba's themepark (one of the quests from Jabba's chef, as a matter of fact). But there are 4 different variations (chef, tailor, armor, architect), so you're not guaranteed to get a chef one. I'm not sure if anyone's come across the schematic for these anywhere else.

The schematic also requires "heavy leather" components, which are dropped by NPCs.

www.swgtailor.com has some good info on the new lootable/reward schematics and components.

All four variations come from the same schematic called a Crafters Apron. The specific type of apron made from this is decided by the tailor who uses the schematic(each variation requires different resources)

Oh, guess I misunderstood some discussions. I've picked up the schematic scroll from Jabba's palace, but haven't run into my tailor buddy for a while. I thought the "crafter's apron" schematic had a specific variation pre-selected when you got the reward, which determined the resources required for it.

So how is the choice made? An option when the tailor uses the item to "learn" the schematic? Or are there a bunch of resource slots during the crafting process and the end result is determined by which ones the tailor adds?

After a little more research, it looks like i may have misunderstood the process. I'm pretty curious about this, I think i'll talk to my tailor friend when i get home tonight to seewhat his experiences have been with the schematics.

The schematic is prechosen. The Tailor must learn the schematic to see which one it is. Thiscauses the schem toappear inthe tailors datapad and it can no longer be retreived to sell. It is decided by which crafting tool the schematic calls for. The Tailor cannot change this. I have learned two schematics..one called for a structure furniture tool. This was an Architect Apron which is basically useless. The second schematic required a food/chemical tool and produced a Chef Apron. If the Tailor already knows an apron schematic, he can learn another one only if it is a different schematic than the one he already knows. I have done this and this is how it is.

Thanks, Dridstar. So there's no way to determine what type it is from the scroll item? Well, I suppose if a tailor tried to use it and couldn't because he/she already knew that variation that'd be one indication. The scroll isn't used up in that case, is it?

::crosses fingers that I've got a Chef apron scroll::

I'm going to try to find a tailor that already has the chef apron schematic, and trade for extra leather and my unknown scroll.

No, the scroll isnt used. When the tailor Radials on it, the learn option isn't present.

From what I've read, it looks like the type is prechosen. The tailor discovers which one it is.

I have the scroll, and am working on getting the "portion of Heavy Duty Leather" but I don't know any tailors well enough to give them the scroll to find out which one it is.

I hope it's chef
