No, the chef doesn't play any role besides giving the attackers food so that they can fight longer/better.

My only role in the attempt to take a base was throwin' pies at the storm troopers. j/k

Unfortunately - we have no role whatsoever...I just stood and watched (then died) while my boyfriend got to decode the dna sequencing (?) terminal. Ya picked the wrong profession! lol
