need your advice on BE additive prices. I am trying to work out a deal with a BE on my server to provide me with Micronutrient, broadspectrum, and Intelligentnanonutrients. I am asking 55+,85+, 155+ on them. What is the going price for these in crates? I want to get the best deal.

2. Do I have to use identical BE from factory crates in my additives?

thanks for the help

Did you mean 115+ for the heavies? They top out at 120 (with perfect resources).

It really depends on your server. With the BE's I deal with, prices are generally 20k-ish for smalls, 40k-ish for mediums, 60k-ish for larges, all are per 25 tissue crate. But from some prices I've seen from other servers, Chillastra is pretty cheap (maybe we had fewer credit dupers or something). Some other prices I saw proposed were 25k for smalls, 50k for mediums, 75k for larges. And a lot of times, a larger run of tissues may be a bit more expensive, since those can be used in a larger factory run of food.

Actually, your best bet may be to scan around your galaxy trade forum, there's usually a few LTS (looking to sell) or LTB (looking to buy) threads for tissues, you might be able to get a rough pricing estimate from those.

And yes, you have to use tissues with identical serial numbers to do a run of additives, and you have to use additives with identical serial numbers when you do your final run of food.

115+ was recommended. you say each crate has 25 tissues so if a medium is 40-50k per create then that makes each tissue worth about 2k. So each item has to have at least 2k increase to cover BE cost.

Correct. Well, maybe a little more, to cover the water and factory time making the tissue into an additive. But BE enhanced food is generally much more in demand, so some people are willing to pay 5-10k more per item for the enhanced stuff.

Yea thats why you see BE food going for so much. 60-80% of the cost in most BE food is the tissues. It gets a little better with drinks as you can use casks.

If I bought my tissues and sold at the same price, the BE would actually be making more profit off the crate of food than I was

It's a rough trade to be sure, I try to get my guild to help harvest meat, then all I have to do is higher a bio engineer to make the schematic for me, saves a lot of credits. I could buy crates of tissues and most likely still make a good profit at my set prices, but I'm a greedy little devil and like to keep my costs as low as possible

OK here is a situational question:

I contact a BE and say I want 500 med broad-spectrum tissues for my next run of 400+ 50 fill brandy. I make a 1000 run of Cask and alcoholfor this run also. With 500 tissues and using Casks how many drinks can I make? 500 or 1500?

Um, 500. One tissue, one item. The difference a Cask provides is the number of uses for each item - typically, I get 18-21 uses for my brandy that way.

Using 500 tissues gets you only 500 stacks of brandy (each requiring 2 alcohol and one container).

500 brandy made with small glasses: 6 or 7 doses each = 3000or 3500 total uses.

500 brandy made with casks: 18 or 21 doses each = 9000 or 10,500 total uses.

The container multiplier only means that you get larger doses per stack, but you still get the same number of stacks. This lets you "stretch" the tissues into more uses, although the stack count remains the same.
