So I was thinking... it sure would be nice to have a site/program that you could just plug in your resources and see what the maximum outcome on your food would be.
ie.
you select brandy, and include the stats of your berries, and fruits, and MFA... you are then given a display of the highest possible outcome on your brandy.
I am fairly new to crafting but i would assume that there is a static formula you could apply to this I just wanted to check and see if anyone know of a site/program that existed like this, if not if anyone wanted to help develope a site/program like this. It seems to me like it would be fairly easy to code, and would be pretty helpful. Let me know what you all think, and if anyone wants to help in developing this/ providing webspace let me know.

Actually, I'm trying to put together some just like that. I've been learning Java for work, and one of my "goals" for this evaluation period was a final project type thing, and my boss actually approved a SWG crafting calculator as an acceptable submission. 
The calculation for the max percentage is known, and is pretty straightforward. I think I've got the stat ranges pretty nailed down, so from the experimentation percentage you can get the max value. And MuttonJedi did some very nice work figuring out how to determine the initial percentage after assembly from the resource stats, so it should even be possible to determine how many experimentation points you need to hit a certain level.
Unfortunately, I've been a bit bogged down with actually playing SWG, work, and other RL concerns to really make much progress on it. I was going to dedicate some time this weekend to it, though, I'll check back in with what I end up with.

awsome, well I know Java, and if you want to make it web based we can do Php SQL since they are very easy to set up on a server. Let me know if you need/want help for this project... I would be more than willing to help out. I think it could be extremly useful, and if we program it well enuff it could easily be used for the other crafting professions.
As a newer chef I think it would be extremly useful to help gain some insight into the food creation that now is gained thru extreme understanding of the formulas, and/or lots of general experience.

This would be an awesome idea. Always wondered which method best calculated which resource fits best. There's so much things that matter so I wouldnt deny it takes work.
