a few of my suppliers of bio-adds have recently gave up because of the upcoming patch and some new bio-engs have hit the scene

went to his / her vendor earlier and had the shock of my life when i saw the prices +86 broads were at500kx 10 crates10 & +116 heavys900k x 10 crates. This is not a flame but as we all forseen that the prices were going to inflate because of the lack of ppl keeping the proffesion if this is the case then we will have no option but to either increase sale prices / pick up bio-eng and force prices down this is not a flame towards bio-engineers as i do know the prices of decent resources needed but cmon fellas 90k a crate of 116's biwan:

I feel your pain, and that's just what I did - pick up BE. The price of meat is going way up with all the docs needing all kinds now for the new buffs, I imagine. We also haven't had a good Dath Carn spawn since the Ikyb/Aoppami days, and even the flora on Bria right now is a bit pathetic.

I've been looking for a good OQ wood for weeks, best there is right now is 909... ?

The docs just got great avian/herb/class4 spawns, give us chef/BE's some love Bria!

Those bio-engineers that are aware of the merchant fix (remember, 60% of the people playing SWG do not use the forums) have been a bit dis-enchanted. Pure crafters have artisan to begin with. They've expended the 15 skill points to get their base profession whether its architect or weaponsmith or chef.

Bio-engineer requires 15 points for novice medic and 15 points for novice scout. We then have to expend an additional 15 points for artisan. In effect they've had to give up most or all of their combat skills. Some bio-engineers have opted to give up BE instead.

This explains the drop in bio-engineers you may have been doing business with. It doesn't explain the price however. Its very possible the impact doctors have had on meat prices have carried over to you BE's tissue price. The more demand place on meat the higher the prices will go.

If you're going to take up BE yourselves be prepared to give up a lot for it. The skill point requirement is a deterrent just by itself. By the way, the devs have told us in no uncertain terms that the skill point requirements for BE will not change and we will not be allowed to operate a vendor without taking up artisan.

I hope this sheds a bit more light on things.

BE has to be one of the worst grinds ever. I respect anyone who manages to get through it and stay with it. I guess thats why I will find a BE I like and do everything in my power to make him rich and happy. My regular MBE just dropped it so he could PvP, which I completely understand. So now I am looking again.

I have no hate for BE's. You guys do NOT have an easy go of things. Hopefully I can convince a couple of the better ones to remain on Starsider. They arent scarce yet.....but they may get that way soon.

*sigh* Ah yes, those halcyon days so long ago... Aoppami shifted out what, a month ago? We had two amazing Dath carn meats in a row! If you aren't sitting on a stockpile it's your own fault, not Bria's "bad luck".

even the flora on Bria right now is a bit pathetic.

Sure is. well, except for:
Dant Berries: DR=989, FL=63, PE=945, OQ=747
Rori Berries: DR=849, FL=854, PE=921, OQ=856
Tat Fruit: DR=604, FL=907, PE=996, OQ=741
Tat Tubers: DR=216, FL=797, PE=974, OQ=780
Dant Beans...

I've been looking for a good OQ wood for weeks, best there is right now is 909... ?

Here's a hint: if swgcraft is reporting a wood as spawning for the last 27 days, you may just want to head to that planet and pull up a sample, because it's a pretty good bet something else has shifted in. We've had several 950+ OQ woods in the last month.

The docs just got great avian/herb/class4 spawns, give us chef/BE's some love Bria!

With recent rancor meat and in-shift flora you can cook what, a 86% BSN? Woe to us on Bria the Benighted, for misfortune is ever our companion.

Tsk Tsk. And you didn't even update swgcraft with your excellent find. You know, the info there is only as current as players like you and I keep it. If you take, the least you can do is contribute. Now that that's out of the way...

While you're right, the resources may not be in-shift at this very moment to make 425 Brandy and 400 Ahrisa and 700/33 fill Canape and 25 Bivoli and 1000/50 fill Vercupti and everything else you'd like, that hardly means the current resources suck. There have been plenty of times when I picked up my harvesters and kept them in my backpack for a week (or longer) because it's natural for there to be bad times in the shifts, just as (like now) there will be times when three or four different floras will appeal to you and it's a tough call deciding which to harvest.

Feel free to PM me with where I can find that wood

Thanks for the flame.

Ikyb shifted out over 2 months ago, Aoppami was next, andhas been gone over a month and a half. And no, I'm not sitting on a stockpile as I wasn't a Chef or BE back then, I pickedthem upafter. The current naboo carn is pretty good, though.

Good berries and fruit, I'll give you that, but those Dant Greens don't make Ahrisa over 400, and It sells much better when you can hit 400 with 45m duration.

You are right about the wood, though. Just found a wood with OQ of 1000. Should work.

It seems I have developed a concience. Or at least found someone to play that part.

Go look on swgcraft.com again, i assure you it is posted there. As for a wp, I'm sure you can find that yourself. This was an interesting one, as the best concentrations I seem to have found were in cities, there is a nice one just outside (but inside no build radius) of Theed. You can usually find 90% or more of wood concentrations pretty easily, but best I found was 84%.

It is tough about the harvs, as I don't have static lots, trades, etc. I had to pull a couple off the tat fruit just to get some of this wood. If we do get a good spawn of greens it's going to be even tougher. Plus with all the gems, water, wheat etc. it takes, 10 lots goes quick. It will be nice on the 31st when my other character can place structures...

I also work off just my own account's harvs (though I did have a friend kind enough to place my factories), here's a few tips:

buy your grinding resources. Especially mineral ones (your gems) are very easy to find in huge quantities. Lok Wild Wheat is doc-specific, so finding some of it for sale isn't tough either (and it satisfies all wheat and cereal reqs for components). Grinding mineral typically go for 2-2.5 cpu, there's just no reason to bother trying to pull em up yourself when they can be had so cheap.

I still have to mine my own water as I've never seen a resource vendor who stocked it, but since quality doesn't matter (on most of it, anyway) I just wait for there not to be a good flora spawning and go mine up whatever water is handy.

As you apparently already know, finding a good concentration can make a big difference in getting the most out of limited lots. The difference between a 75 and a 85 can be rather large across several harvs after a week's time.

Also, trust me, it gets easier as time passes.
