I got some synthsteak to try yesterday to see if it would help me any in leveling. WhenI looked at my mods window after consuming it, it said 50 minutes left on it. After about 15 minutes, whenI had gotten done with some combat, I looked and the synthsteak had disappeared. This happened twice more. Is this a glitch, or amI missing something?

Synthsteak duration is not based on time but rather on number of attacks it reduces damage for. Each time a mob or PC attacks (not sure if it is hits or just attacks), you lose one charge, basically. So, for example, my synthsteak is for 32 attacks. After 32...you have to eat another one...hope this helps...

There are two timers with synthsteak (and other "multi trigger" foods). First is the number of attacks it is good for. This is usually 30-35. After getting hit that many times, the food's effect runs out.

There's also a time-based limit. You can't eat a synthsteak, wander around for a few hours (without combat, digesting stomach filling) and get the benefit. This 60m timer is what shows up when you mouseover the buff UI.
