In reguards to Vesarian Brandy... Which is better in the components? High OQ, Flavor, something else? Kinda new to this crafting thing and don't know exactly how the qualities work out, I read the FAQ, but it wasn't very specific. Any help in getting it above 400?

The schematic for every craftable item lists what qualities are required in the resources to get the best results.

No, not the quantities, the qualities of the resources, I know what I need, I don't know which quality is best for that component. For example, I need Talusian Fruit, but what is best for the Talusian Fruit? Overall Quality or Flavor or something else?

Well actually, you dont need Talusian fruit. Any fruit will work.
If you are solely looking at getting your brandy over 400, you need to look at three things: Your Fruit, Berries, and Additive. You will want the additive to be about +115, and the PE and the OQ on the Berries and Fruit to be 800 or better. In almost every single Chef item, PE is weighted the heaviest for nutrition (66%), with OQ making up the remaining 33%.
But I will tell you that Flavor is also very important. Flavor will get you your duration, so dont neglect it. The best-selling and most expensive brandies have a duration of 44m or higher, preferably 45m. In fact my customers would rather have a +420 45m brandy than a +440 38m brandy. For Flavor you want to find something at least at 500 or more...that should give you enough to get over 44m with experimentation.
Decay Resistance is really the only thing you can practically ignore on brandy.....since it is almost always easy to get it to 50 or less filling.
So go find some good Fruit with High PE/OQ over 800 and FL over 500.
Those are my suggestions anyway. Hope it helps.

Eek! Just reread my post. Must have been thinking about INNs instead of BSNs. Me=absentminded.
You will want your additive to be around +85 (not +115).
Sorry for any confusion.

Read my message again - I didn't say 'quantities' - and what I said is correct - open up your crafting tool and the QUALITIES needed are on display for everything you can make.

For Componets it doesn't really matter.
Now for the actuall food it shoudl be OQ and PE that you should be worried about

Like Purple said it is all listed while crafting. Open up your tool, select a schematic and the bottom right corner is all the info. It won't give you exact numbers of what you need to hit X value but it will tell you which stats are important.
PE and OQ for nutrition for instance
This changes on some foods so you will want to look at it on each food.
