the quality of subs dosent matter at all, including any food products when they are used as subs(i.e. veghash for Vegeparsine)
It seems that in addition to what you have listed that Vegeparsine, Elshandruu Pica Thundercloud, Crispic, Air Cake, Pikatta Pieand Ruby Bliel sell well.

Oh, does anyone know what each resource stat affects? Like, does flavor affect duration? Or OQ the regen rate? PE filling? Any help on this would be appreciated.
Food Chart 1 in the "Read this" sticky has the stat contributions for each experimental category. You probably have to scroll to the right to view them (there wasn't any way to make everything fit horizontally and still be legible).
In general, Nutrition (buff power) is affected by 66% PE / 33% OQ, Flavor (buff duration) is 66% Flavor / 33% OQ, Filling is 75% DR / 25% OQ, and Quantity (stack size) is 75% PE / 25% DR. There is a bit of variation (especially on foods that don't have all four categories), you can see the actual numbers by examining the draft schematic in your datapad or checking the lower-right pane of the crafting window on the resource selection screen.

barrels are broken do not use them
use casks they are best only need trims and gemstones ( trims you need tailor to make ) only problem with casks is takes 2 factory runs of trims to make 1 factory run of casks ( 2 trims per cask ) so is lot of messing about if you just want to make food fast use large glass's you wont get the high use's but its lot easier to make them in bulk
hope this helps

so if you dont use factory? you just craft the casks yourself, saynyou just want to make 2, will you be able to use them both together?
YES

YES
yup...but I do factory craft them anyway as it saves me wasting time making casks...
I normally do a load of casks at once, and store them on a vendor in backpacks of 50.
The lack of serial number is very handy...wish they would do it for other subcomps too
