I am trying to experiment and make a schematic for blob candy and it won't let me do either. someone help me please. I have tried doing it in front of a general crafting station and a food and chemical. can someone help me???

I forsee two problems.
1. You're using the Generic crafting tool - You cannot use this tool to experiment
2. You're standing in front of the wrong crafting station.
To experiment correctly, use a Food/Chemical tool (buildable by the generic crafting tool you have) and stand in front of the Food/Chemical crafting station.
You'll be able to experiment then.

gracias. see I was crafting blob candy so I assumed I would need to use a general crafting tool because it is an artisan object. thanks alot for the help mate.

Not a problem.
Been guilty of that myself when I first started crafting.
