I run a fairly small operation. I make all the more popular foods, and I make em in 10 crates per run. Before pub 20 that was enough to keep my vendors fully stocked for a week plus. At 75k a crate for food/drink with light additives 80k for medium's and 90k+ for all others I have sol damn near 8 mil worth of stock since tuesday. I was just wondering, is this a good week or do you think everyone knows about the stacking now?

I've noticed my sales go up slightly, but I have just reduced some of my prices. I have a single location that is in a highly competitive area so don't expect that I will increase much in sales unless its a widespread increase in purchasing.

Just wondering if any other server has a City dedicated to shopping? (I mean dedicated not just a city that has malls...)

I've done very little from Commerce City tho I did have a bumper day when one dude spent almost 8m from there. Need to give him a few free crates to make sure he keeps coming back!!

Ive been getting more from Commerce City than I used to from my Coronet store...but then Coronet is dead now.

A few weeks ago when Commerce opened I was getting about 1m per day with 1.5m at w/es.

Recently nearer 6-750k a day, but Saga has lowered his prices (I really don't fancy getting into a price war, but I've had to lower mine too)

I think my bumper days avg around 2.5mill

The most dissapointing point for me is that I get people buying a lot of stuff, but not a large number of unique customers (Is this the market in general, or is it just me?)...also repeat custom hasn't started yet with just a handful coming back so far. I can't help feeling that people aren't shopping due to a lack of knowledge of my shop rather than quality/price issues.

I have had no problems keeping it stocked, except a recent Bespin Port shortage, so I am thinking of opening another branch. I feel I could support much more in sales, particularly as I have just doubled my factories...Just need the market to follow. (Oh and I could do with some Art Exp tapes too)

And now you may have an understanding of food pricing. Now that people have discovered your vendors, get ready to craft 24/7 or have empty vendors at those prices. I do understand why some people want to keep their prices so low, but I like to enjoy other aspects of the game as well rather than chaining myself to a factory.

what would be a good price then ?

I really think those people with signatures that look like part of the post are really annoying, thats why I made this one.

A good price would be one that allows you to keep a stocked vendor whilst having a decent amount of trade.

For me that means foods start at 100k and go up to about 175k, with drinks at 100k - 300k.

There is no way I would sell food/drink for 75k because it is not worth my time...it's not that I would not be making a profit, its that I would be selling too fast, and spending all my time restocking.

Exactly the same here Lloyd mate. Also don't like the idea of getting into a price war especially with SAGA who has the financial backing to take a short term loss if he needed. CC hasn't been the big thing others thought it may be. Maybe just tim is needed, but I fear that SWG shoopers are inherently lazy. Price and Quality don't make them come. Convenience/Location works because the difference in foods and cost is marginaly now.

Yeah...Commerce City hasn't been what a lot of us expected...but I don't think thats down to the custom, I just think there are possibly too many Chefs about. Theres 7 of us in 300m isn't there? Dr Mo (who has quit just recently), Saga has lowered prices, you, Clancy and I are also sharing part of the same pie (forgive the pun )

I personally never expected Commerce City to catapult me to a massive level of income, but I was expecting 2-3mill per day in sales.

I also don't know how many people know about Commerce City except forum trolls...there is a rather large section of players who never visit the forums...I know from my own city that their are loads who don't use the forums. I think the hardest part about SWG for a crafter is getting people to come into your shop...

I'd imagine that's why then. It's just my opinion, but no matter how good a city is, it won't get enough exposure unless it's on tat, naboo, dantooine, and possibly corellia.
