which recycler would most benefit a chef? i heard that they are best for milk but are they useful for anything else?

flora and creature...but, like most other things in the game, the ability to construct recyclers is still broken.

Yeah the creature recycler is a must if you are gonna make pikatta pie unless you have the means of getting 20k of the same milk on a regular basis. I also use it on low quality hide and bone to make certain components.
The flora recycler is nice to clean up your resource storage for components as well.
If you make your own tissues, the chemical recycler can be used to combine water which I find very useful.
