Just re-activated my alt tonight, and i was wondering if anyone could help me with some grinding resources. Ill pay whatever, but i dont want to pay too much . Need enough to get thru artisan - master chef. Also, Do i put merchant in with chef, along with some scout? Or another Artisan Prof. and just buy hides and such. Thanks a bunch.

I suggest two things (three actually):
- You get some merchant skills. A reasonable vendor number is two per shop you wish to open (one for food, the other for drinks, or any other combo you may need). 2 vendors is the maximum you get with artisan skills. so getting some merchant skills is very good to have if you plan to open several points of sale.
- resources... that's a tough one. finding hunter-related resources is not very hard on Kauri (even if it can be expensive
). I would suggest you focus on chef and merchant, and leave scout to others. That way, you still have room for another profession (RP, or crafting... I used to be master chef, marchant and tailor at the same time). But that is my personal opinion. Choice is yours. - Harvest yourself (or have someone do it for you, as long as it's VERY cheap). Getting the berries, tubers, greens, cereals, etc... with the right level of quality is really what is tough at the beginning. So focus on this and don't just buy from others, or you'll run out of money very fast, and your margins on sales will be too low to be profitable.
