Thread: But he got two!!!
All the other corespondents have posted what they submitted. I want to know what you sent into the devs SirVimes!
SirVimes has kept us well-informed from the start. You need but look up.
Misterie
... and I would reiterate that you need but look up. Since that is not possible. Is this the letter you are talking about?
This is a letter I sent off to Q-3PO
Q, can you please forward this to the chef designer?
First all, thank you for responding. I am not sure if you are aware of this, but any contact we get from the developers is appreciated. I think this is a good start.
Here are the responses from the boards..
1) Desirability of Food – Duration of buffs is too low right now for its use. Foraged food and spice are outselling food made by chefs.
We’re going to do a balance pass on all food. This should help us understand what changes to make.
We think doing a balance pass on this will be great. Most people feel on the board that if you feel like you have to do some re-arranging of the recipes, that would be fine. There is one thing we would like for you to keep in mind, however. We realize that as you do this you need to keep your eye on the big picture and make sure food is balanced with spice and medicines. Please remember, however, that while smugglers and doctors have other ways to contribute to the community and to make money, all chefs have is buffs. We think this should be a major factor when you look at foods.
If you would like to know more about our feelings on balancing food, I would like you to read these two threads:

5) Milk and Eggs – Milk and Eggs are not prevalent enough in the game. They are rarely foraged and sometimes found on NPCs, but are required in many recipes.
Eggs should be more prevalent through lair loot, milk is in progress. Let us know if eggs are more plentiful as of our last patch.
Personally, I haven't had much problem with finding eggs, but many people on the board disagree with me. We think eggs should be just a little more common than they are now, and the living samples should be even less common. However, the real issue is milk. We need milk a lot more than we need eggs, and when you introduce it to the game please make it somewhat plentiful. Deffinitely more common than eggs.
6) Usage Experience Points – Is UXP working as intended? How does UXP work with feeding our pets?
If you own the pet, you will get no Usage Experience. If it is someone elses pet, you will receive Usage Experience. This way you still gain usage experience from those who use your food to feed their pets.
I know what is suppose to happen with UXP. What I am saying is that it does not always happen. The best we can figure it is that you have to be logged in and in the same area as the pet when it eats the food in order to get UXP. Also, we don't think items from factories give any UXP. UXP is, at best, very hit and miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. We know how it is suppose to work, now we want to see it actually work.
Thanks again for your work, and we look forward to see what you have planned for us, and to hear from you again. Please come by and visit, we are really not that scary.
Misterie
If we were suppose to last week, then nobody told me about it. But I haven't really sent in anything important.
Last thing I sent in was:
Somebody asked a question on the boards that I think is a very good question and would put a lot of chef's minds at east. The question is: Do you think chef buffs are adequate? Simple yes or no answer.
If you could answer this or pass it onto the primary developer who works on chefs that would be great!
Thanks in advance,
And just now I sent in:
There are rumors going around that correspondents are suppose to send in the next correspondent reports. Are we?
The impression I am getting is that if I were to send in a correspondent report now, it won't be read for a while. I could start working on a rough draft and post it on this board if you all want, but I haven't sent it in.
And if I did, you would know about it. I am not going to send in any correspondent reports without first posting it on the board for you all to proof read. I want these reports to be, as much as possible, representative of what this community wants. So I won't be sending in any reports without getting your feedback first. And when I do, I will post what Isent here immediately.
Just got a response from Q:
They can if they want, but we likely won't get to them yet.
I will start writing one next week (not before then, this week is too hectic for me.) But I don't see a hurry to send one in if it is going to be ignored.
Look...another pointless post!
He has kept us very well informed up til now, no reason to assume it has changed.
