Thread: I may be crazy but . . .
I have been taking my time in the Chef tree. I don't like to "grind" so it has taken me quite a long time to get my first advancement up the tree.
Now this is why I may be crazy:
I took Cooking I.
In fact, I'm planning on filling the cooking line before anything else. Why? Because I'm nuts!
No, actually I noticed that just the one bonus to experimenting caused me to fail less often in my experimentation, and I am already nowmaking pretty good stuff when I am successful.
I view cooking sort of like playing a slot machine, when it "hits" I get excited!
So I figure I'll be making great Blap Biscuits, Charde, and Meatlumps before I learn to make anything else. Further when I do get those new recipes I'll be cooking up great ones, instead of the standard.
Call me crazy, everyone else does, but this is going to work for me.
I bet the majority of people go to the cooking like fairly quickly.
entrees 1 - 2 for useable foods.. I hate just grinding only
cooking 1
mix 1 - 2
---
now I plan on goinbg back to cooking and get it up to at least 3 before moving back to Entrees, might bring it up to 4.

Dito.
**edit**, you'll have the best wastril bread in the galaxy. Of course, I predict you'll hate the sight of them before hitting cooking III...
It doesn't sound completely loopy, but to *prevent* insanity, you might want to take at least Entrees I or Mixology I (depending on whether you want to make food or drinks) just for a bit more variety. You do know that you don't get chef xp for the Domestic Arts foods, right?
[backs slowly away from Lansonitore nodding and smiling...]
Not crazy at all.
I got all the way to Mix IV first, because I really really wanted the Bartender title. But what I made was utter crap. Now that I'm working up the Cooking line, I've noticed a huge difference in my results. I wish I had done it sooner!
