I know that they are looking into balancing the chef profession, which is great, but I think there are some things that might help them in their balance. The main thing is to take out a lot of the negative modifiers. I realize that they put them in to not overbalance the chefs, but what they did was in effect, nerf the class before it even got a chance. I think taking most of those out would increase the viability. The fact that I make things in entrees, that have a negative modifier that levels them below what I could make just general crafting is bogus.

I know they are working on the milk thing, but come on. To not be able to make or usearound 12 items out of 108 doesn't sound bad, but they might be foods that help balance out the class (though I doubt it). I do know that 12 items is more than mostof the other professions are unable to make. That's not right.

As far as the factory fix goes, I'll believe it when I see it. Right now I only use it to make components.

Right now, the only reason I'm able to do well in chef monetarily is because I am partnered with a DE and I suppliment my income with architect work. If I did only chef, I'd be almost broke. Why buy food that does very little when I can get a buddy to spice me up for a lot longer.

I think that something that would help with the balance would be to not just use food to buff up the HAM stats, but to use the food as either reduce or help prevent Battle Fatigue. BF is something that you can't get healed out in the battlefield. Wouldn't it make our profession much better if out food could reduce BF just a little. So you sit in camp, and eat/drink 'round a fire and get the BF taken off, at least a little.

It would sure go a long way to making the chef a more valued member of the community.
