This is what I worked out with the BEs that work with me. Based on a variable profit sharing scheme supported by current fair market value(to the best that I can determine)of the products I'm selling. As the chef production matures prices may vary and may need to be changed. As it stands right now chef item prices are being determined by those who can supply the most to the largest customer set and to a large part the price of the BE products. I've seen prices for broad spectrum nutrients in the last week vary by 50k for a crate, some too high and some to low.

I do nothing to disabuse the high sellers of thier idea of what the product is worth (I think the market will take care of that); but if I get an offer from a BE selling his product too low I will tell him straight out he is selling himself short. With the limited supply of meat and the time required to obtain a substancial amount the BE producer can payup to 600k for the 20k of meatat 30cpu (if he has to buy it) needed for 40 crates of medium nutrition additives. There is also 60k (for a 1k run) unitsofhigh quality organic/flora. If you valuethe organic/flora ingredientsat a modest 5cpu that is another 300k. So for material value alone the product (broad spectrum) canbe valued at 900k for a factory run of 1000. Leaving aside for now the micronutrients, at 37.5k Im paying my guys 1.5 million per factory run of broad spectrum, which is a markup for the BE (using the cpu method) of 40%.

What do you guys think about this and how does it compare with your experiences?

Im also wonderinghow commonthis cpu multiplierfor determining the value of a finished productand furthermore in determining chef product prices if time(or labor) should be a proportion or variable included in the retail price of the item.

I think that in-game, as in-life, the cost of resources for any product is relatively cheap compared to the cost of manpower used to produce that product. So any calculation of cost should also factor in the time you spent to acquire the resources, the time you spent experimenting, the time you spent running to and from the factory, etc. Everyone values their time differently. Personally, I value my time at 60k an hour, because that's the amount of money I could make running missions for an hour. If it takes5 hourstotalfrom me deciding to start a new factory run, to it's final destination to a vendor, then the factory run will have an additional cost of 300k credits on top of the price of what I paid for resources. I take all the costs associated with the product and add on 20-25% as my profit. That's how I determine my prices.

Its still very variable, the prices I mean. For instance I just bought 40 crates of nb56 micronut supps for 1.5 million. the guy was low on meat and he was using his last material to make those for me.

I dont know it depends on how good my sales are that day.

As far as the broad spectrum go I would pay 40k a crate for the nb85s. So for decent lites and mediums 30-40k I guess. Thats how its working out on my server with the 4 BEs I work with

That sounds like a pretty fair price. I am not MBE yet, but starting to think about getting the meat together for a factory run. I will have to go out and shoot it myself (sigh, I have to kill stuff? hehe), but that is just because I am poor. What stats are you looking for in Broad Spectrum Nutrients? What would you be willing to pay that 1.5Mil for? What about if it was only 1.2Mil? Trying to feel out the market. Also, for all you Chefs reading this, would you be willing to pay 600k for a 500 Medium Enhance run?
