You can only take the spice once, but the brandy twice. So you could work your math out to be +742 for 41m, 9 uses. When you do that the brandy wins hands down accross the board. The saving grace to spice is that you can be taken with brandy and stacks with it.

As for pricing, I've seen up to 750k a crate for brandy. So yeah, it can be priced inline with spice. Spice is also easier to make, and very over priced. I think you'll see spice having a price free fall down to few k per crate. As to the brandy price, 750k a crate is 100cpu, or insanely over priced. The usual going price is 300k a crate, or about 4k for 2 hours at double buff. Still a nice 40 cpu, but a great value when compared to the buff you recieve.

Not a bad analysis at all, as a smuggler who makes most of his money selling spice I have been doing a less formal comparison. Let me throw a few more numbers in there to refine/reshape this a bit:

Muon typically sells by the crate of 25, and is all single use. Let's equate a crate of muon to a cask of brandy, which I am commonly seeing at 18 uses. Brandy is also experimented to below 50 filling to allow for stacking. Most users are actually going to use this, and so will take 2 servings at a time, so let's own that and call a cask of 18 what it really is, 9 uses for most players. Let's go ahead and double the brandy buff, to account for this. Prices vary by server, I'll post what I see on Radiant for example.

Crate of Muon, 25 uses = 8k, or 320 per use, 500 MFW for 10 mins, + 3.5 minute downer
Cask of Brandy, 9(18) uses, 12.25k or 1361 per use, 800+ MFW for 30+ mins

Muon price per hour = 1920 credits. (actual time to use 6 doses = 1 hour, 21 mins)
Brandy price per hour = 2722 credits

This doesn't seem unreasonable to me, even if it is reducing my sales.

Iwas going to sell my brandy comparing it to the advantages/disadvantages of Muon Gold and Vasarian Brandy. Here's whatI came up with: (all will be with a single item of each)

Constants:

Cost of a Crate of 25 Muon Gold (+500 for 600s) = 10k (so a single is 10k/25 = 400credits)

Cost of a single cask of Vasarian Brandy = ? (what we're here to evaluate

Sample of Vasarian Brandy Used = +371 MFW, 18 uses, 50 filling, 41m duration

Buff Effect

Muon Gold: +500 MFW

Vasaraian Brandy: +371 MFW

Winner: Muon Gold

Modifiers: 1.35

Duration

Muon Gold: 10m

Vasaraian Brandy: 41m

Winner: Vasarian Brandy

Modifiers: 4.1

Uses

Muon Gold: 1

Vasaraian Brandy: 18

Winner: Vasarian brandy

Modifiers: 18

Downer

Muon Gold: 1

Vasaraian Brandy: 0

Winner: Vasarian Brandy

Modifiers: 1.1 (10% better just to make a value if any...lol)

So in terms of Math lets do some calculations: (VB = Vasarian brandy, MG = Muon Gold)

x VB = 400 MG * [(1.1*18 *4.1) / 1.35 ]

x VB = 24053 credits

WOW. So for a single cask of Vasarian brandy with the stats provided above, comparing it to Muon Gold, we should be making about 600k for a crate of 25. I guess it's good we're not using this system as a valid means of comparing it to Muon Gold!

This is by no means meant to upset anyone...I just wanted to point out some obvious advantages/disadvantages and compare a price. I would never charge this much for it, I'd rather charge 8k for a single dose (200k for a crate of 25k). It's much fairer when comparing it to Muon Gold

Be fore you ask...yes i have no life...lol

i think u have to calculate one more thing. when someone dies the stomach filling is still there andthe only solution to enhance your mind quickly is a muon. especiallyin pvp combats u wanna beback as soon as possible. tho it might be a bug, which will be hopefully eliminated soon.

just be careful with your pricing. the higher the pricing is, the more attractive it would be for more people to grind out chef. its not that hard to do so. i started mine 2 days ago and should have it mastered by the middle of next week. as a master doc/pistoleer i need brandi and bivoli in bulk. was buying it from chefs until the prices got unafordable for me. now i have 2 accounts, 20 lots for harvesters, 3 factories (on friends accounts so no lots taken) and by this time next week a master chef with all the food i and my guild will ever need. 2 guild mates are bio engineers who have already agreed to trade food for bio enhancments. i love the food. just dont let greed encourage a much more competetive market. i for one dont intend to sell my food, but my entire guild will now more thank likely be out of the food purchasing business.

This is an interesting thread, I'm a Master Doc/TKA and have started using Brandy stacked with spice and powerboost. It all works really well, I can easily solo 4 Tusken chiefs at once and i'm not a master yet (mind drain has ususally been the TKA downfall). My question is with your pricing strategy (i don't remember how much i paid, but it was quite high for my casks), shouldn't i be charging much more than 10k for a full set of buffs? Brandy buffs the mind only (very little in comparison to buffs) for 40mins while my buffs are up to 3k per stat for up to 3hours. Now I understand that there are so many doctors and with the current supply/demand driving prices down to 5k for a full set, what would the price for a buff be if all things were equal? Also, i assume that making buff packs (6 total with various ingredients) is tougher than making one product.

What do you guys think? and do you think that once more chefs are around your prices will take a nose dive? I swear by brandy these days, keep up the good work. I'll start my AA meetings later in the month.
