Thread: Advice Needed on Vasarian Brandy

I've been making a bunch of Vasarian Brandy for sale on my vendor (listed below), but for some reason I can't seem to move it very well, even though it's priced below the average cost and it's pretty decent stuff, I think. +202 for 38 minutes, 150 glasses per crate for 30k, and +196 for 41 minutes, 450 drinks per crate - in casks, for 50k. I hope I'm not under-cutting anyone's business, but I'm just trying to make a living. Any advice anyone ???

In my Galaxy I find that non BE brandy does not sell.

The money is not really that hard to come by, so people want the biggest "Bang" they can get.

For comparison here is my Brandy:

Crate of 25, 21 uses (cask), 50 Filling(2 uses), 45 Min (equal to the Stomach timer) 418-422 M/F/W ( as high as I could get it with left over points)

I sell that for 250k a full crate and it sells pretty good.

People always want the best they can get. Expecially when it comes to thier minds

The problem is even though our schematics say Bio-engineer additives are optional, they really aren't, if you want to sell brandy in any decent amount. I've had +226 45m 6 per crates on my vendor for forever listed at 25k and I think they've sat there for over 40 days. I know I re-listed them at least once. I suggest if you want to make more sales to seek out a BE to get some additives.

A few things.

1) Have you been doing any in-game advertising? One effective technique is to put up single stacks on the bazaar, and include a waypoint to your vendor in the description. Just having a vendor up with planetary advertising set isn't quite enough, you've got to promote yourself. You can also do an advert post in your server's trade forum.

2) Hardcore players are going to want BE-enhanced brandy (+400 M/F/W, 35-40m, 50 filling). Casual or low-level players will often get by with cheaper non-enhanced brandy, and yours actually looks pretty good for them. But a singlecrate will last casual players a month or more, so there's quite a time delay between repeat business.

Your prices look good, you just may have to build up a client base.

This is what I do in my galaxy. I was amazed at the response I got. I was used to selling a few stacks a week. When I listed it on the bazaar my vendor sold over 50 stacks the first day!

The trick is to list it as an AUCTION not an instant sale. Also list it for around100 credits. People will see it and flock to your store.

Now I don't advertise as much as I used to. People know of my shop andthey just keep coming back.

In the last 200ish crates of food I sold, I think 3 were non BE brandy. Thats not a very good ratio. I expect 1 run to last 2+ months.

Other thing I noticed.

Your duration is quite low, I don't know if this is due to resources or not, but I would try to get it to 44-45 minutes. Obviously buff will go down. Every poll I've taken, most people want a constant buff instead of a bigger buff with 5+ minutes of downtime.

Thanks for the advice, everyone ! I'm currently trying to find a BE to work with cuz I don't have enough skill points to do anything with BE, at least nothing worth mentioning, lol. At this point, whoever wants to buy my blue milk and non-BE Vasarian Brandy at a decent price can have it, send me a tell and we'll negotiate, but I'm not going to be giving it away, so please be at least kinda serious with a O.B.O, thanks
