I have recently decided to drop the Medical crafting part of doctor. Since, I already have about 4 million high quality organics and about 3 million high quality inorganics and I like to gather resources, I'm going to start a high quality resource business.
Since I already now the ins and outs of doctor, I've decided to become a doctor resource hunter, Along with this I'd like to help out Chefs since they seem to have many organics that they need, just like doctors.
So, I'm wondering:
- What resources do chefs need? Now, I'm just looking for resources that are useful, like which resources chefs use frequently, such as in brandy, bivoli, canape, synthsteak, etc.
- What should I look for in a resource? I know that you guys kinda get shafted, in that you need DR, FL, PE, and OQ. But, What should I look for the most? Or should I just get something that has fairly equally good stats?
- Any other tips you can give me?
Thanks, hope you can help me out.

- What resources do chefs need? Now, I'm just looking for resources that are useful, like which resources chefs use frequently, such as in brandy, bivoli, canape, synthsteak, etc. You will never go wrong getting high quality berries and fruit. Tubers are another item that is used in more then 1 schmetic. Also chef's need low quality wheat, cereal and vegetables for components, along with lots of grind quality water and cystalline gemstones.
- What should I look for in a resource? I know that you guys kinda get shafted, in that you need DR, FL, PE, and OQ. But, What should I look for the most? Or should I just get something that has fairly equally good stats? It depends really, yes all 4 stats matter, but their importance varies depending on what it is used in. For example, tubers and lube oil. A chef needs these to make vercupti. All chef's shoot for 50 filling vercupti, that means the DR must be above 875 to have a chance of hitting 50 in experimenting. I use 925 DR, 576 oq, 875 pe tubers, which work out better then if oq and dr were reversed. Sure, my vercupti with a hvy add. might only end up being +990-+1020 instead of over 1100 with higher oq stuff, but with a filling of 50 as opposed to 65, the buff works out higher. Fruits and berries (for canapes and brandy, oq/pe/fl are the 3 most important stat's. DR only needs to be around 500 for those 2 items, where you want the other stats to be >800. Best advice is to find a particular chef that needs a resource supplier, and let him give you his needs/prefrences for stat importance/item.
- Any other tips you can give me?
Thanks, hope you can help me out.

I don't buy a lot of high quality organics just because I tend to harvest them myself. Buying 2+ million of something can get expensive.
I do buy a huge amount of the crap materials though.
Cyrstalline Gemston(for casks)
Fiberplast and Lub Oil for Trim
Wheat(Domestic wheat is preferred)
Any type of cereal(rice, wheat, corn, one more I can't remember), but again here I would prefer just the dom wheat
Vegetables

Yeah i tend to harvest all the good stuff, or buy it in small amounts, then buy the crap component stuff (such as crap wheat, water and gemstone)
Leaves my harvs more focused on getting the good stuff, and lots of it.
