hello, im a chef/weaponsmith and i am about to get a tape with +3 food exp / +4 weapon assembly.. lets say i put the tape into a pair of glove will i get both bonuses? or just food exp or the weapon assembly?
and if i ever get another food exp tape and place it in that glove its gonna cancel the other +3 right?
any info would be appreciated.. a link to a skill tape FAQ would be helpfull too
thanks

Only the +4 weapon assembly will aplly i'm afraid, its a pity it wasn't a mod on a piece of clothing, as with those all the the stats on them apply.
What a great system the devs have blessed us with.

If the +3 food exp is listed as the first stat, then you're good to go. If it's second, then you get +4 for weaponsassembly. Last time I tried to stack like tapes (i.e: Two +1 Food exp tapes in the same piece of clothing) only one of the +1 stats was displayed , and I lost the other +1 tape.

When using clothing tapes, the highest attribute bonus takes effect. The other bonus will go right out the window.
Example:
+3 food experimentation
+4 weapon assembly
-------------------------------------
The weapon will be the one that takes, the food one is gone
If the attributes are equal, it is alphabetcial.
Example:
+3 food experimentation
+3 armor assembly
--------------------------------------
The armor will be the one that takes, the food one is gone
Also, tapes that are for the same attribute do not stack in the same article of clothing.
Example:
You have a pair of gloves with 2 sockets.
You have 2 tapes, one is +3 food experimentation, the other is +1 food experimentation.
You put them both in the gloves.
You now have gloves with +3 food experimentation or +1, depending on which one you put in first.
This applies to aprons too. You cannot put a tape in an apron if the tape does the same thing as the apron.

There is MUCH confusion over how SEA's work but a while back someone posted these 4 simple rules and I have yet to prove them wrong. I'm sure someone will come right behind me and say I'm full of it but all I can say is that these rules have worked for me every single time I've tried them.
1. Highest number always sticks.
2. In case of a tie in high number, the first listed mod sticks.
3. Negative mods do not stick at all.
4. If the second mod isthe high number, rule #1 is all that matters and the Second mod will stick since its higher.

I stand corrected on my previous post. Sorry about the bad info!
