Thanks for the info. A follow-up question for ya. How much should I expect to pay for a crate of BSN? (how many in a crate) and what quality should I be expecting on the BSNs?

Thanks again.

You will get 25 tissues per crate which then need to be made into additives by you. As far as pricing, the cost of BE tissues will depend on the server. I can give you my rates on Shadowfire...but they might not be comparible for you.

I buy crates of BSN that are base +84 for 30K. I then pay 1K per crate for every +1 over 84. So if I bought 10 crates of +86 BSN, I would pay 40K

Hope that helps...

OOps...did the math wrong....here's how it breaks down:

10 crates @ Base of +84 = 300K

+2 over 84 = 2K per crate

10 crates * 2K per crate for higher quality tissues = 20K

Total order would be 320K for the order

/whew

Gotcha, thats makes since. Sounds reasonable. I'm mining my own resources and running a couple of fusion generators for power, so the extra cost for the tissue to increase the value of my goods seems to be well worth it. extra 30k investment for an extra 75-100k in value.

IMO 30k is very low for BSNs. I would love to find a few BEs that would sell them to me for that. Any BE is still making a nice profit on that, I just haven't seen anyone sell for that.

The rough prices I've seen are 40k for light, 50k for mediums, 60k for heavy. All those prices are +/- 20k though.

I went BE myself just because I couldn't find a BE that was able to supply enough tissues to me. Each run is 20k meat, 80k flora for mediums. 5cpu for the flora and 30cpu for the meat is about average. That is 1 million credits. Comes out to 25k per crate in cost to me. Obviously I'm not always paying 5cpu for flora, but rarely will I get meat for less than 30cpu int he quantities I need.

Keep in mind that all BE tissue require at least one type of non-minable resources, like milk, meat, eggs, or shellfish.. Not sure if you are aware of this restriction or not.

Thanks for all the good info. I'm turning my alt into a crafter to stock my guild with good food and drinks and to keep a cash flow coming in without having to run missions and sell loot.

As far as Chef goes, I usually keep on my Main for PVP/Hunts, Ahrisa (my favorite by far), Brandy, Synthsteak, Air Cake, Citrus Snow Cake, Blue Milk, and a couple little odds and ends. Do you veteran Chefs get much business on other items?

My alt is Chef, Artisan, Architect and between makingSwoops and powerups, harvestors & factories, furniture, houses and building deeds Idon't the timemake and stock myvendor with every type of food and drink available so I was just going to do the ones I personally use. Any suggestions?

Thanks again.

I just starting Chef (mastered today), and am going to be buying some crates of BE tissues to make some medium additives to throw into my ahrisa and brandy factory runs.

In your experience, what is the best component for Ahrisa and Brandy? At first look it seems Broad Spectrum Nutri and Multisaccharide are the best. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Thanks for the help.

The highest level nutrution additive that can go in the food is usually the most used. BSN's for both of these. You can use the other types of mediums for special cases, but they tend to cost more and be in lesser demand then nutrition buffs.

for BE drinks i always use casks. i have 0010 tailor so that i can make my own trim for the casks. it's a hassle but it's worth it. the resources for the trim and casks are grind materials, stats don't matter, and thatway you you get so many more uses in a stack using the same amount of resources that do need to be good (flora, meat, etc),

barrels are bugged now and don't work, they actually give you less uses than a cask. even if they ever do get fixed, i'm not sure i'd want to use them...i like having repeat customers it amazes me how fast some folks go through a crate of 25 18-use brandy.

(Not a flame - relax)

Your own prices show that if you sold at 30K/crate you'd only make 5K profit. It can take quite a while to gather enough resources to do a run of BSNs, can't it? Do you think 5K per crate would be adequate profit for you if it was your only source of income?

We can make them cheaper than your quoted prices on some servers, but it depends on expending points in Combat and Artisan to get meat and resources. Then Merchant to sell the stuff

There is a sane price discussion thread on the BE forum herethat you're welcome to read. It does show the variance from server to server and the different methods people use to price Tissues.

Not wishing to hijack the thread, so I'll shut up now *grins*
