To be fair, there isn't anywhere in the game that you can refer to that defines what counts as a "light bio component". A given BE may or may not know which of their schematics counts as light, medium, or heavy.

There's a section in the chef FAQ that covers the basics.

There are four classes of BE food tissues (the name people have given to the bio components, both food and tailor), one for each of the experimental categories in food: Filling, Flavor, Nutrition, and Quantity. Each class has three different sizes: light, medium, and heavy. If you ask a BE for a "light nutrition tissue", they'll probably know what you're looking for.

The light tissues are Carboreductive Catalysts (reduces filling), Multisaccharide Dimate (increases flavor / duration), Micronutrient supplement (increases Nutrition / buff size), and Hyper Yeast additive (increases quantity).

In general, you get the most benefit from the nutrition tissues (Micronutrient supplement for light, Broad Spectrum Nutrient for medium, Intelligent nanonutrients for heavy).

Being a Chef takes Pure dedication and Patience. with a hint of Humilty to succeed.

All Food Additives comes from Bio-Engineers, just FOR YOUR INFORMATION (fyi) I suggect you humble yourself before them. I TRULY mean Humble yourself before them.. You need them, more then they need you!! Don't be shock when they ask 2 Million+ for 87+ BSN tissues. Some will even ask 200k just to make a schemetic with using your own resources.

But, with Enough TLC (Tender Loving care) some BEs will make then for free or really cheap..

Remember, When Dealing with BEs a little Brown Nosing never hurts.
