I was looking around for new foods to put on my vendor and I saw some with fire resist/absorb or poison resit/absorb.
Trimpiam 40 Fire Resistance/20 Fire Absorbtion (taken from http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/m/g/mgw117/CU%20Food%20Chart.html)
So what does that absorb do?Does it take down 20 points from the fire dmg?Or 20%?

The absorb decreases the amount yo utick for when poison/fire is applied. These foods make it harder to land the poison/fire and then when it does land, it does less damage per tick.
