I'm not a chef, but your profession does effect me. At least i want it to. I would love to be able to have the stat buff from food and drink. What i am looking for as a fighter class is duration. Just by adding 50-100 to my con and str will allow me to get resistance slices on my composite armor instead of incumberance slices like i get now. I want longer duration times so i can count on the buff being there for a whole fight instead of it being really iffy right at the end when i need the food buff the most.
The real issue you chefs need to be screeming is this: FIX OUR F U K ING PROFESSION NOW!! I ate some food, then went into battle. Hmmmm, it just raises the max of my secondary stats. Greeeeaaaaat. Oh well, off to battle. I started to get hit, so I hit my armor macro so that i could quick change into my composite when i started to get hit. Instead of fully armored me, i saw bra and panties and a fiew random armor pieces. I looked at my stats, and they were not 200/450. I was so pissed, i wanted to throw my computer accross the room.
What makes me so angry is the idea that a profession exists that does nothing good, only destroys stats when its product works, and it takes months to fix it. There is no way that the code for food is so complex and involved that it is taking months of 24 hour shifts for the devs to fix. It is probably something stupid like a missing slash or a space in the wrong place. The ass of it is that there are devs devoted to nerfing this and that, while important things like MAKING SURE THE GAME WORKS IN THE FIRST PLACE are taking a back seat.
Maybe the cheifs aren't yelling loud enough. When armor stopped working, there was a hotfix in two days. Is food really that much harder to fix? I wish you chefs well, and i must say you have my respect for sticking out a presently worthless profession. I must say though, im not touching food (accept for pulling boffa treats out fo a crate for my animal) untill i have absolute proof that ill still be able to put my composite on after ive eaten it.

Is it possiblethey left out 10 units of material in the xp calculation?
Actualy your exactly right they did, if you look at some of the old guide floating around from beta they show W. Bread as taking 20 cereal, 10 fruit, 5 cereal, where as now its 15 cereal, pefectly accounting for the missing exp. It looks like the devs forgot to update a value when monkeying around with things they clearly don't understand.

Right now, the developers are not even working on chefs.
