Thread: CHEF IS DEAD

Hi Everyone,

Just to let you know i'm quitting the game altogether, I'll sell my equipment and some (hopefully) still worthy ressources and send my balance to a friend still playing.

This C.U. nonsense really got me definitely out of this game. Too bad i renewed full payment for a year in december... I've lost real money there now...

Why it's pointless to stay chef :

1/ All products are almost same, making it hard and expensive to rebuild and refill ressources in new products, not being sure people buy them.

2/ We must rebuild a full stock of agro ressources, knowing how hard it was already to find some worthy ressources before (with this crazy ressource rotation cycle and the low grades you find most of the time, and so rarely good ones), with now the risks inherent to going out of camps...

3/ I Have few news from hunters and BE's recently, i guess most are dropping out...

4/ Customers don't know what to do with products.

5/ Filling /Duration / Stacking bugs make it impossible to experiment

6/ In CU, it's Combat so better forget non combat playing... This answers to the thread about the respec not being available for non combat profs. Yes it should be fair to let anyone start fresh with full skill points from all skills. At least. Andmainly fornon combat profs.

Most of All : I Didn't pay to have to start all over again as a noob in the middle of the game... Having to start again experimenting all kinds of products and ressources for nothing in the end. I liked the idea of progression in the game, not having to reboot from almost zero again... It's like i have lost my time in this game with no handy backup, as the few valuable business cycles are now destroyed and to be rebuilt...

Not for me anymore,

Another info : do you know why most people disagree with the C.U. ?

It's because most of us started being bored by the game a while ago and this event initiated a drop-off tidal wave. We needed just to be pushed to drop it, thank you SWG for helping me take the final desicion that was anice upgrade ! C.U.-0.0000.

Let's find us some other games...

i still love chef and i have been sellin more food now after the cu then before..but i am not a master yet so i make the food that noone else makes and i am very cheap too which may be my problem...it should change about the foods once we relize what is good and what is bad again...cu has helped me relize i need to work more on chef so i can see what new foods i can make...and i dont ever look at foods list...i like the surprises.

I found it hard to believe that any chef would quit the game/chef profession at this crucial hour.

Food/Drink is no longer a benefit or bonus...

IT IS A REQUIREMENT...it makes up for all the holes in my template. I had a good laugh reading the beginning of this thread..sheesh, you have no idea how much CERTAIN professions will rely on chefs for pretty much ALL activity!!!

I don't find it hard to believe. The ones that are quitting chef are the ones that are chef for the paycheck. They got in after the profession had been figured out. Now it isa new profession so to speakand we are all trying to figure it out again so it's "see ya later"

The really sad thing is that they will be back for a grand re-opening when they are certain the paycheck is back.

Chef was aneeded profession pre-CU, now it's an essential profession post-CU.

So quit if you want, that will create all the better business for the ones who stay. All I can say is that I am visiting theChef board for the first time ever. Why? Because I need you whereas before I didn't.

Go Chefs! Create the best you can and I will pay a premium for great food, as most of uswill.

Do these threads cause the "I'm not dead yet!" bit from Monty Python and the Holy Grail to go through everyone's head, or just mine?

Dev: "Bring out yer dead!"
Doom&Gloom: Here's one.
Dev: Ninepence
Chef: I'm not dead!
Dev: 'Ere, he says he's not dead!
Doom&Gloom: Yes he is.
Chef: I'm not!
Doom&Gloom: Well, he will be soon. He's very ill.
Chef: I'm getting better!
Doom&Gloom: No you're not. You'll be stone dead in a moment
Dev: Oh, I can't take him like that. It's against regulations.
Chef: I don't want to go on the cart!
Doom&Gloom: Oh don't be such a baby.
Dev: I can't take him.
Chef: I feel fine!
Doom&Gloom: Well, can you hang around a couple of minutes? He won't be long.
Chef: I think I'll go for a walk
Doom&Gloom: You're not fooling anyone, you know.
Chef: I feel happy! I feel happy!

Now, all we need to do is keep eating PIkatta Pie to dodge the club to the head, and we can avoid the cart.
