Coming on the chefs boards and posting about it is a sure sign of ego stroking, not helping the community. If you want to help out new people just give them the left over half crates to help them out. Not that hard to do.

I came on the Chef boards to ask an innocent question. I just figured with people making less money post-CU, perhaps the crafters would be lowering prices. I don't talk with many Chefs on Starsider, which is why I asked here.
Could my saying "I don't care about profits" be seen as ego. Maybe, but the only reason I said it was to state why I was lowering prices. I see you all still care about profits when making 40+ mil credits a day, though I can't imagine what you are buying with it all.

It seems that you think that Chefs in general are over-priced. Do you think that about all crafters? When is the last time you bought a weapon from a weaponsmith (that you weren't friends with or guilded with) and pay less than 20k? That comes to 500k a crate. How about armor? Chefs are over-priced? Man you are a tool.
Chefs provide an invaluable service to everyone in the community no matter how much they charge. The prices of my foods are such because of the value that I place on my time. People buy foods because of the value they place on their time. How long would that profession grind be if there was never Brandy?
Oh and by the way, I spend mine on Fraggle stick cars.

During the CU I sold food at reasonable prices until I found that merchants were buying up all of my stock and reselling them outside of theed for 2x - 5x what I was selling them for. My real purpose was to be a food supplier for my guild and for those who come to our marketplace. I raised my prices to what I believe was the normal price my food was reselling for.
My constituents still buy my food and I have only recently had my crispic stock bought and resold (the vendor search is a great thing for finding bargains, I know
). So I really have not re-priced my stock because demand is still high enough to support it, and I am still trying to fend off the reselling merchants
. (Before merchants spam me, I dont have a problem with my products being resold, but leave something for my guildies!)
