Once when I was working on Mastering Musician after having mastered Entertainer, I was in Theed. The bandleader was a newer guy, and kind of... eager when it came to finding slots. In groupchat, he said he was going to /stopband to find out who was AFK. 3 of us told him explicitly NOT to do that, since most of the group was dancers, and in general we only kicked true LDs from the "big band" Well he did it anyway, and I was so incensed, I immediately /startmusic ceremonial and hijacked the band. A minute later, people began to ask, "what song is this? why cant I play?" and I just chuckled to myself and held the band hostage for a total of 5 minutes and proceeded to explain EXACTLY why the bandleader kid was an fool. When I was good and done, I went back to sw2 and let people play again. Was I harsh? yes. Was it wrong? Only when I head to that great Logout screen in the sky will I be judged. Was it funny? Yer durn tootin!!!

Last night I was playing ceremonial and had two people ask what it was. I tend to stay out of the big grind groups now and play to the side with a few friends so I can play all the tunes. I was really surprised to find that people hadn't heard many songs beyond rock. One of the people listening commented on how all they heard was the usual, repititious starter song. I proceeded to switch to SW1 on my mando, throw on a decent SW1 song macro, and fire up the droid on bandfill. The person started asking what this cool song was; when I informed him it was that usual, repititious starter song his reaction was a hoot!

At least one more person out there now appreciates that musician is more than begging for tips and white noise.
