Okies, here's exactly what I did:
drank brandy
ate canape
tried todrink spiced tea--couldn't
tried to eat ahrisa--couldn't
tried to eat blob candy--couldn't
drank breath of heaven
I timed my action regen with brandy and canape and with brandy, canape and BoH. It was definately faster with all 3. I also clearly got the health bonus of both canape and BoH. I gots no clue yet why some things wouldn't stack and some would.

OK, I got a theory. It looks like you can take any one out of each of these groups:
1 artisan food (Kanali Wafers, Teltier Noodles, Caf, Bofa Treats, Blob Candy, Spiced Tea)
1 health/regen chef food (Gruuvan Shaal, Scrimpi, Ahrisa, Kiwik Clusjo Swirl, Won-Won, Canape)
1 all-regen food(Garmorrl, Accarragm, Brandy)
1 health/all-regen food (Vercupti, Breath of Heaven, Mando)
Naturally, I haven't had time to test all the differentcombos.Anything I missed? The first few iterations of this post were all kindsa wrong, sorry if I confused anyone 
I'm really getting tired of completely relearning my profession with every new publish...
Edit: found some errors, hopefully corrected them (again)... I think I was making this a lot more structured/complicated than it actually is.

It is a rather BS thing to put us through. Everything stacked, then nothing stacked, then we found that only certain things stacked, and now it's all changed again.
Some explanation on the dev's intentions would be very helpful right about now.

lol yeah, i should prolly just give up. even if we do figure out how this works, it'll be different soon anyway 
i'm no programming expert, but i'm pretty damn sure it isn't necessary for this to happen with every single patch...

Ok i've passed this onto the devs, and they're looking into it. This combo shouldn't be possible, but they can't see the problem internally yet.
Could you give me a little more background on the age of the food you ate (was it pre pub 20, or post pub 20? Pre CU post CU?). Were you under any inspiration buffs? Or was there any other circumstance that might of allowed you to do it? Including the order you ate the foods in.
Any info you can give will help speed up sorting this out.
They might not really be stacking. With all the GUI bugs right now, it could just be that the icons are not updating correctly. ( There are visual bugs with Repairing items, experimenting, resource stacking, crate splitting, and a few other things, this could just be another symptom )
The question is even if you see all three, are you really getting the benefit of all three?
They are stacking there is a huge diffrence when stacking the foods its completly obvious.
Higgins this was tested with post cu foods. Anychance you could get them to ignore it? You know since we have so many other broken stuff in the game and this is something people actually want to have.......
Second that... chef doesn't need two caps...

Can you stack say, blob candy, and vasarian brandy? You could still stack certain foods, just not ones that had high action or mind regen stats on both... I know for sure that blob candy and brandy did not stack before pub 20.

As much as i'd like to ignore it, it may well unbalance foods, and then we might get a even bigger nerf.
Of course there is no guarentee that this will be changed back to the old system, i just need some info in how this occuring.

yeah foods are stacking weird i was just able to stack a combo that i wasnt able to before this patch.I drank caf drank mando wine and ate won won and all 3 icons stayed there which was odd. i had to log off before i could do more testing but not sure if the health stacked on it if so ill try checking tomorrow.

pilot is a forum rank and has nothing to do with the expansions
you got that rank because your forum account is now 1 year old exactly and you get pilot if you got an average of over 4 stars (i know stars no longer exist but they still seem to be coded that way) theres a forum rank post but i cant be bothered to find it explaining it
