You don't, you get 6 amazings at the same time. I.e. You experiment 6 points and keep going to you get an amazing success.

It's a weird affair trying to get 8 amazings. Sometimes it takes me 25 attempts, and the last two took like 6-7 and then first time.

You want amazings all the time. Use at min +11 Bespin Port, be in a city with Research designation, then get all 4 boxes of the force sensative crafting experimentation tree at the village!! Getting amazings in chef is one profession that can really benefit from it.
My Bivoli:
+25.172 for 15m 24s, 3 uses per, 28 fill. I am a 12pt chef, use 117 INN's, and sell this for 200K per crate.
Others on my server list bivoli cheaper but I still sell out mine on a regular basis. I could lower my price and sell more potentially, but I also would need to spend more time crafting then and I don't want that. People like that they know I will always have +25 bivoli on my vendor. I even get guilds ordering 30 or 40 crates at a time. You can lower prices but at some point I am better off selling my meat, BE additives, and uber flora for the cpu value and spend my time earning money elsewhere.
Most docs don't care about the fill, so I never drop any points into it. On our server it seems you MUST have your Bivoli over +25....I can go +25.172 or +25.389 but I don't see sales improve for the higher end stuff so I stop at +25.172. I drop2 pts into uses to go from 2 to 3. As long as duration is around 15 min I think you are fine....unless they are running a buff line most docs take bivoli then buff up a couple of buddies or a war party....which can normally happen in under 15 min. I keep some +107 Havla available also to help them get the most value from taking 1 bivoli.

I'm on Intrepid, and I'm making Bivoli that is +25.50 with 3 uses and 15 min duration. I am charging 7k per unit on those, they sell like hotcakes. Does the addtional .50 past +25 work to improve buffs? or is it capped?

The stuff after the . doesn't help. So, 25.01 is as effective as 25.99.
Apparently the benefit is not capped at 25 like so many people think, though. So 26 is possible, and better than 25.99, but if you look through the thread you'll see that the bonus was pretty much negligible...like 8 points or something.

holy crap,i use pretty good resources for my bivoli but can only get like 24.84 15m 3 uses...i want to do the FS part of the village but is it hard and boring? and is it worth it?
oh and i was reading some above post and i saw few people say to experiment with like 8 points each time...for some reason i was told by a older chef "he kinda sucked" to experiment one point at a time...meaning like put one point in duration...run experiment...repeat...so im not supose to do this?

The FS stuff is boring, and takes an incredible amount of time...and frankly, I think SOE needs to reconsider how this works before everyone who does a crafting FS tree ends up with RSI...
On some things like powerups, experimenting 1 box at a time has a different effect; each time you experiment there's a chance you'll add a new bonus to the object.
After reading what others have said here, it makes sense to me that you try to do them at once--IF you get an amazing, it affects all the boxes you selected. Personally, I do several at a time, but only in one category at a time.
Good luck!
