Thread: Chef CU feedback
Keep an eye on Vidi_MerchantMan's post here for updates.
will piketta pie stay after CU? Yes (It's in the skill tree in the same box as Live)
will it change? Not sure. We can't see food stats, but the description of the buff icon mentions being "able to dodge attacks more easily". Numbers still need to be verified
<Brannoc> Please send those questions to [QT]Brekkee or [QT]Phineus - to do so type /msg [QT]NICK My question here. (Replacing nick with their name.) Please only send questions to our QT's as those sent to myself or the developers will not make it into the lineup.
Well, I havent had time to experiment with Xp gained, and being only a newby chef, there is very little I can cook yet,,, I can however verify that you can no longer consume components. I foune this out after crafting my mandatory, each time I log on 20 ea soypro. when I tried to eat it for the bonus xp, I could not. I also tried dough, and no go there. I crafted a peice of air cake, and COULD eat it, but was given no uxp for doing so
. Guess my grind up the chef ladder just got a lot longer.
Xivion
Newby chef or Bria.
For anyone who is taking the time to even consume food and drink now, it is all Artisan stuff. Unless the devs lighten up on duration caps this proff is a novelty rather than a productive asset in SOE communities.
Knowing the psycho psychology being applied in CU thus far, gimping Artisan duration is the path I expect them to take and I suppose that will make it 'fair' but will not help. What I know right now is Breath of Heaven is our super food and it isn't that much better stat by stat than crispic or bofa treats. Only those foods last an hour, ours las 5-15 minutes. With fill on breath of heaven at 50-70% and fill on Bofa around 10%, what would you use?

Well, after Pub.17 I doubt it... Before Pub.17 stacking 2-3 artisan foods was great for duration. Now, when you are limited to onlyone HAM buff food/drink - things like Vasarian Brandy, Accagraam, etc. look tasty. For you can get 2-3 buffs at a time for harder fight. And artisan food for easier long hunts.
Again, only Crispics, Aithaand Ruby Biel are good from artisan non-buff food. Chef's Air Cakes, Synthsteaks, Granylin Juice, etc. still have better stats.
I guess in a while customers learn it too
Right now at least 30% of my food/drink flow goes to my Guild, which is happy with it.

Chef foods stack I take it? I experimented some at the station, I never even finished making them, I just wanted to see final results.
I will make some and test them in the field but I am still not convinced people will rely on a food that will only carry them into the battle and not through it.
Additional, none of my pet foods work.

Well, Chef food stacks in non-HAM-buff field. You can have 1 buff fodd now + any amount of special foods. I usually fight with Accagraam (for action and mind regen, as I have n-Doctor)+ Crispic + Air Cake + Rubby Biel (when needed).
And how do you test pet food? I have a number of customers who buy Felbar and are happy with it. Do you buff right (dragging onto pet)? For I don't see how can one nowdays measure the buff effect.
Yes, drag to the pet.
food: 13% to health, 5% to regen
No change in health bar after I drag to the creature. I lose one to the stack, no change though.
