Ok...here is one for you.

I just made a breath of heaven. I used a heavy food additive. I used sub-standard resources and put all my points into quantity and filling.

Breath of Heaven With Heavy Food Additive.

Filling: 35

Quantity: 2

Buff to Strength, Quickness, Focus: +1366.

This thing is a monster.

On the subject of additives: Although they are a pain to deal with. they are definitely worth the effort.

I got some additives from Aya'ti to test (I'll poat the tests when I finish), and the light additives with 24% experimentation or less (Really, Really bad) give 100% quantity boost, 13% flavor boost, 24% nutrition boost, and 11% flavor boost.

The mediums only get better.

You know what feels good?

1. To be right.

2. To know the Devs are listening.

3. Seeing these upgrades.

Humina, humina, humina, humina.......

That's....uh.....WOW! When you said that the additives were meant to be "uber" and cater towards the "leet" (comments that made my head hurt coming from you) you weren't kidding.

Another new tidbit: foods all appear to give 4x raw resource count for xp. Well, except for Ithorian Mist. It gives....240 xp (that's using 40 raw resources and two components).

I would have been sure you would be upset seing as how these changes just allow us combat types to "solo stuff we shouldnt" and unbalance the game and all.

After all you where all about how the crappy buffs where good and how the old nice buffs where overpowered.

Or could it be that you are just one tht will agree with anything the Devs are saying at the time for without bothering to think for yourself

Funny, I was about to post to the same effect. You've been arguing for days that the buffs, as they stood, were good. I'm not sure that position is supported by the Devs improving them, but ya know what? I don't care I don't know how or why (but I'm going to guess it has a helluva lot to do with SirVimes), but the Devs actually seem to have listened to feedback and adjusted the system accordingly, and without waiting for months inbetween.

SV, you may want to repost your "should the changes stay or should they go?" poll with this new data. I have a feeling the response may be a bit different this time around.

One drink does not a Chef make, but this is one change that I am very happy with. Nothing to complain about here except to bolster the opinion right ^ there.

Very true. But it looks like all the chef stat buffs may have gotten a tweak. BoH has a higher buff, Vassarian brandy, Accaragm, (probably Garmmorl), Won-won (probably kiwik swirl, and vagnerian canape) got lower filling so you can eat more to stack the buffs. These six foods make three matched "sets", each set having a food and drink for 2 or 3 stats associated with either Health, Action, or Mind. So I'm assuming they have similar effects (just on different stats), but I haven't gotten the resources for Garm or the skills for Swirl and Canape.

It sounds like chefs are going to be the skill buff class rather than stats, but it's nice that the ones we have will be able to get to a level where they're usable, even without additives.
