We're all chef's here (or at least trying to be). We're not the kind of person who would be the "target market" for selling chef products. Mentioning what prices you sell something for in a crafter forum, in a thread that is about pricing Chef food is perfectly legitimate. Posting it the a server forum, even posting it in an unrelated theread would be spam, but this clearly is not.

Selling food/drink "cheaper" than is appropriate is a double-edged sword.

On one hand, many players need to be educated as to the benefit of food and drink.You see this IRL as many packaged goods companies (like Proctor & Gamble) give away samples to grow the market by building awareness.

On the other hand, if you set a price point too low, you create an anchor against which future prices will be judged.

My suggestion is that if anyone is going to give away food that they advertise it as a "free sample". Free samples are alsoprobably better than flooding the market with underpriced goods. That lets people know that free isn't your standard pricing and avoids creating price expectations in the customer's mind. You might even consider following up the free sample with an email that describes the benefits of your food/drink in detail and gives instructions on how the person could order more from you.
