Nikii - in that example (Bivoli) IF the first stat of the vegies (is that Decay?) is not critical to the results, then your #1 and #3 would be near-identical (which they are).

The second one though... It's quite surprising to use vegies with litterally 1/3 the quality will result in something with only 10% poorer stats (9well, duration is down about 14%). I would have expected a bigger variance there.

I still think we should get stat buffs of at least 1000 as a Master Chef, as we are the only pure buff class in the game. A Master Doctor can do so much more, yet can buff for 2500+ for 3-4 hours on all 6 stats.

The fact that our buffs are portable, I can live with a drop from that level, but anything under 1000 is unacceptable to me.

And we have NEVER had a dev response as to why we cant have that, and I find that disgusting.

I agree. That sucks. I am not a Chef, butI was a Master Doctor. I think the other buffs (chef, spice, and entertainer buffs) should be on par or at least close.I also think it's messed up that entertainers can not buff themselves either, but that's another discussion.

10 experimentation points into quantity of a thakitllo brought it up to 82% but the uses never increased from 2.

BoH

+836 all 3

Time 10m35s

6 uses - cask

filling 66

Spent 2 exp on quantity, went from 2 to 6

spent the rest on duration.

This was with the heavy nut additive. While this is much better than any of the old BoH am I disappointed by the fact that the filling is 30 minues and the duration is only 10 minutes. The other additives are much harder to do, and personally, a lower continuious buff is better than a higher one with 2/3s down time.

OK, Im seeing that we're moving away quite a bit from stat buffs - until you get the new stuff to play with, you dont appreciate that.

The skill modifier buffs are extraordinary. +20% fire resist for 28mins on trimpian using average ingredients ? I saw a +10 fire resist attatchment go for 3million last week...

Similarly, the dev vs Dizzy, and the def vs knockdown are going to sell very well

Im pleased with the new flexibility of the system, but I see us becoming reliant on BE's, which worries me a lot.

Just FYI, this is my biggest worry too. Well, not that we will be dependent on them but that BEs won't be able to generate enough to be useful for us.

I know you feel the same SirVimes, and I know you presented those worries to the devs.
I dont think they actalls grasp the sheer production volume we go through.

Yea, Vasarian brandy with GOOD berries and fruits...Experimenting dosent do NEAR what it used to, and that is SAD.

well, the DR is low on the berries...

Berries: DR:122 Flavor: 850 PE:840 OQ:882

Fruits: DR:738 Flavor:928 PE:748 OQ:1000

9 uses (large glass)

+228 M,F,W for 38 Mins (all but 2 experiment pts in it, I have 10)

48% filling. (had to use 2 exp points to get this from 51% to 48%...why bother?)

so...for about 30 mins I had +446 M,F,W, then when Stomach emptied, I took two more and had +892 for 8 minutes, which is better than fishak IMO...you just have to prime your buff and hope you empty the stomach before you get your 8 minutes of glory. HOWEVER: I'm one of those Chefs who is non-combat...and seem to think that if thats ALLLLLL I'm doing is buffs....we should have some numbers in the 1000-1500 range. (around half of a good, maxed out doc enhancement?)

On a different note: Ole Fishak - 74% filling, duration 12 mins, -50 action, +600 Mind.

This will leave you full for 22 mins, leave youdownfor 8, (cant drink another until yer at least at 26% stomach), and is now a shadow in comparison to Vasarian.

I've yet to mess with anything else. Figured Vasarian would be a good start since Fishak has everyones panties in a wad, and you guys worked it too.

I'm more worried that we won't be able to get enough meat for the BE's... I have been watching the bazaars on Kettenmoor, and there is NO meat available in lots above 100. All the resource vendors are sold out. I've advertised that I'm looking for it in lots of 10,000+ and offering 5-10 credits per unit depending on quality and I'm getting no interest.

Someone's hoarding the meat, and my guess is that each unit of BE tissues that I buy on kettenmoor will cost in excess of 2,500 credits per, meaning my cost per full crate run of the "good stuff" (20 crates) will be 1.25 million JUST FOR THE BE COMPONENTS. I'd have to sell them at 100,000 per case to make any decent money at all (probably netting only about 10,000 in profit after costs per case). Yikes!

Fire DOT's got nerfed, they do little to no damage now which really makes the fire resistance food worthless..

"Similarly, the dev vs Dizzy, and the def vs knockdown are going to sell very well"

I guess your right, the only people that would find these of any use would be Jedi, or I suppose those who take the time to get musician buffs.

Def vs. dizzy and def vs. knockdown really mean knocking since the attacks can be spammed forever, even if you fail to knockdown. Which do you want more, 8% more of a chance you won't be dizzied or to be able to use your specials without incapping yourself?

I got about 3k domestic meat in an hour on Yavin 4 taking Mawgax missions.

They werent easy to kill, as they were whitecon at flame 3 commando and 0114 smuggler, and they bring the lot with them (I only had hunting II)

Still, BE's will need a LOT more than that at a time (or we will if we get them to make schematics).

On the plus side, Mawgax missions spawn a decentg number of mobs anad pay ~6k each.
