Thread: My Prioirty List.
You totally misunderstand the use of factories. They aren't for "grinding XP". If you've ever used a factory, you realize that a factory produced item only gives you 1/10th the XP of a hand crafted item.
Factories serve several functions:
1) Producing "identical items" required for some recipies.
2) Mass producing items that you need a lot of
3) Allowing you to do a lot of experimenting to get an "Amazing" result and then mass produce that perfect prototype for market.
For chefs, we can use a factory for #1 but factories are broken for #2 and #3. These things are vital to any profession, but they are ESSENTIAL for a chef.
Chefs produce consumables. A weaponsmith can make a powerup that may last for a couple hours but a chef's consumable lasts for 10 minutes. To meet the demand that one person can generate you need a lot of foods and drinks, and that means a factory.
So even if you could produce a great buff, it's worthless if you can't run it through a factory so you can produce enough to be useful to your guild.
No need to start arguing like this guys.
Pecos + Jwants factories and number one.
Others including myself and chump don't want it at number one.
Compromise = factories can be at number 2.
Yay! Everyones a winner.
Ultimately this list will be decided on by SirVimes, we are just here for input.
I'm just saying. Wouldn't it be better to have better foods before having something to mass produce them?
Chicken or the egg.
Also, another thing I'd like to see, is that HAM bar buffs (like just health, action, and mind) heal+increase the stat.
For example, Bespin port can boost your mind by 250+ or so, but the ones i make only last about 90 seconds. You have to wait for your HAM bar to regen up to that boost that's gained, and by that time the effect of the buff is over.
Saitek, i know. I'm just in a grumpy mood today.

Except it's not worth it to mass produce any chef items besides components since they only come out with one use. Every single item could be as goodas a Tatooine Sunburn but running it through a factory the way they are set up now would be idiotic.
While better foods should be higher on the list than fixed factories as it affects more people, you seem to want to keep factories broken forever by saying stuff like "They should be used for components only."
Who says you have to mass produce them in a factory at this point in time?
Yes that is my personal opinion, but most (if not all) say otherwise.
but even if they were to be fixed...i still believe that my suggestion for a first priority is most important.
I'm getting tired of this factory bussiness, lets leave it at this:
Factories are broken, they can be ranked at #2
Something more pressing and player broad can be #1
Ah the art of compromising!

And if you noticed I said in my post that bigger buffs should be higher up and in the thread that SirVimes made I had 4 issues listed and factories were listed AFTER bigger buffs and milk and eggs because they affect more people.
My posts here aren't about "FACTORIES SHOULD BE NUMBER ONE SO SUCK ON IT!!!!!" What they are about is that lazychump thinks factories should only be used for components and I was responding by saying I think they should be used for finished products as well. That's all that I was getting at.
It's not about being lazy, it's about what a factory is supposed to do. And it's supposed to automatically make finished goods, but for food and drinks it makes crappy finished goods.
